The experience was awesome. Great tips about composition and general photography tips. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area.
Wonderful time with David shooting all overtime the city! It was a brilliant time and I loved the composition tips he gave me. I’ll be taking a night photography course with him soon and I can’t wait!

Amazing experience! Zim was a great guide and instructor. She gave many great tips and tricks, was very insightful. Lots of architectural shots (which was good, since I needed to improve in that area), but also talked about tips for taking portraits. Great experience overall! 10/10, if you are able to request guides I would 100% recommend Zim for these types of tours!
I had a fantastic time on the NYC Photo Safari tour. Zin was an incredible guide and photographer who really pushed me to see the city through different eyes. She shared great foundational techniques in a way that felt natural and intuitive, never like being stuck in a classroom. She also knew my camera inside and out, which meant I learned a lot of new ways to use it and got much more confident shooting in the moment. Even though I’ve lived in New York for 25 years, the tour made me feel like a tourist in my own city, and I came away with some truly beautiful photos as souvenirs. I’m definitely planning to sign up for more tours and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting NYC or longtime locals who want to experience the city in a new way while improving their photography.
Great experience. Zim, the Photographer was very experienced. Learned to think out of the box on composition and technic. I will be attending more sessions.
I had a great time on the photo tour. David was very knowledgable of photography and the area. We saw some very interesting details as well as the icons. I'd go again on my next visit to NYC.
I did a private photo safari with Zim and it was the best experience! I learned a LOT for a 3 hour workshop, would definitely recommend it!
Zim, from New York City Photo Safari, was amazing - I took so many pictures of iconic New York sites. The instructor was brilliant and I learned many new ways of taking photos. We saw many sites in Manhattan that day, including Rockefeller center, Grand Central terminal, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Empire State Building and even took a ride on the subway. Meeting Zim and the sessions I had were the best part of my trip to New York. Highly Recommended!
I loved this tour. Architecture my favorite subject for taking pictures. Zim got me to see detail in buildings that I would otherwise never have noticed. She showed us how to incorporate reflections into our pictures in ways that would never have occurred to me. I emerged with some pretty darn good photos, if I do say so myself. But I couldn't have done it without Zim's inspired guidance. She's changed the way I see the world through my camera.
