Promenera uppför huvudgatan i Nelson och se den varierade arkitekturen och konstinstallationerna tills vi når katedralen som är en förhöjd fokuspunkt i stadsbilden. Du kan gå in i katedralen efter rundturen, på din fritid. Vi besöker också South Street med sina vackra, historiska kulturarvsstugor.
På väg nerför Hardy Street, med ett stort utbud av arkitektur från alla tider, går vi in i de fantastiska viktorianska formella trädgårdarna med en historisk åldamm som slingrar sig genom dessa spektakulära marker.
Sagan om ringen juvelerare och studiobesök. Intill kan du se fantastisk glaskonst på Flame Daisy, och ofta se konstnärerna i arbete från en extern utsiktsplattform.
Utforska Nelsons främsta galleri med olika utställningar som får dig att fånga dig.
Historiska South Street har stugor från 1863, ursprungligen byggda som hem för lokala hantverkare. Kärleksfullt restaurerade South Street är den äldsta bevarade gatan i Nya Zeeland med invånare; En vacker Heritage Precinct i centrum av staden!
Lär dig om Nya Zeelands trigonometriska och gravitationscentra. En promenad till monumentet på toppen av kullen kan göras separat till turnén om du är sugen!

Informative and worth doing, More expensive than other walking tours ie Auckland and NZ cultural knowledge is not expansive.

James goes into excellent detail about the heritage, identity, arts, ways of life, stories of people, architecture, industries, craft breweries, national parks, etc. Nelson is a very small city so it is unrealistic to compare our walking tour to one in Auckland where there is a high volume of tourists and a high demand for walking tours. We are the only city walking tour provider in Nelson and do it on a demand basis because we are passionate about visitors seeing and learning about our beautiful city, rather than for profit. Our price has stayed the same since we began 7 years ago. Thanks for your feedback.

We were staying for one night in Nelson, whilst travelling round NZ from the UK and my sister booked the walking tour with James before we got there. We had a fantastic morning and the tour lasted 3 hours and extremely informative. James was the perfect host and took us to some lovely shops too. An exellent way to learn about the history of Nelson and discover the city sights. Much better than doing it on your own. Our guide, James, was engaging and personable. He pointed out many sights that we had walked by and missed on our own.
