År 1833 seglade Charles Darwin längs Beagle Channel. Du kan följa hans kurs på en 2,5-timmars katamarankryssning från Ushuaia. Efter hotellhämtning, gå ombord på en katamaran vid Don Eduardo Arturo Brisighelli-piren för att börja din resa genom det smala sundet prickat med Tierra del Fuego-öarna. När båten leder öster och kramar kusten, njut av utsikten över sjöfartsmuseet, inrymt i tidigare fängelsebyggnader, och världens världsmuseum som specialiserar sig i områdets naturliga och inhemska historia. Lär dig av guidad kommentar ombord om det ökända gamla fängelset, som nu visar en replik av Darwins skepp, och Ushuaias ursprung som en straffkoloni. Passera de serrated snötäckta toppar av Olivia och Cinco Hermanos (Five Brothers) bergen som hamnar bakom stadens industriområde. Mitt i panorama över vatten, hav och berg, segla förbi tunneln och Fique Ranch och floden Encajonado. Båten närmar sig den lilla främre delen av Les Eclaireurs fyr, en godisstribad fyr som omges av kolonier av rockstänger. Kanske under en himmel som bröder med moln, lära sig om SS Monte Cervantes som möttes sin ödesdigra ände här 1930, varav delar dö genom vattnets yta.
På väg till centrum av Beagle Channel kommer vi att möta Les Éclaireurs fyr. Den här ikoniska röd-vit-randiga fyren byggdes 1920 och fungerar som en symbol för Ushuaia. På en av öarna är resterna av skeppsvraket från 1930, Monte Cervantes, fortfarande synliga, vilket lägger till ett lager av historia till områdets natursköna skönhet.
På vägen tillbaka västerut närmar sig din katamaran tyst "Isla de Lobos", hem för hundratals sjölejon, pälssälar och kungskarv som liknar små pingviner. Njut av närbilder av däggdjuren när de grymtar, skäller och kanske till och med knuffar varandra för att göra anspråk på territorium.
Fortsätt mot Bird Island, där du kan förundras över de olika fågelarterna. Iaktta måsarna, majestätet hos kungskarven, skönheten hos stormfåglar, ångbåtsänder och jättealbatrosser, och möter upp till 20 fascinerande fågelarter längs vägen.
Beundra vyer över Martial Glacier när du seglar genom Paso Chico (Small Passage) för att återvända till piren i Ushuaia. Härifrån kan du njuta av transporten till ditt hotell.

This was an amazing trip. We saw sea lions, whales and a condor. The guides were very informative and the trip was well organized. The tour company even suggested we move our reservations one day earlier at no extra charge to us so we would have better weather. We were glad we did because the next day was cloudy and rainy so visibility may have been an issue had we not followed their advice. Highly recommend this tour!
Magnificent trip to do with the family... we hired through Penguin Expeditions... it is a beautiful 3 hours... we were lucky enough to spot whales... we would definitely do it again... one of the best of Ushuaia
Indescribable. The place is beautiful, the guides are nice, I consider this tour unmissable. Outside the boat you can enjoy the view better, but inside it is hotter. I recommend the outside lol

I loved the tour so much that I went twice! It's the kind of trip we don't do every day. There's cold, snow, penguins, sea lions... and the special touch that the catamaran has with drinks and food, making the experience even more welcoming. I loved!
Speechless! It was so beautiful that we went twice! The view is stunning and seeing all those animals up close is like no other. I love the cold and animals, so for me it was very exciting. I will come back as many times as I can. Furthermore, inside the catamaran there are drinks and food, which makes the trip even more welcoming.
The trip is worth it, although there are too many people on the boat and the bathrooms are dirty, there comes a time when there is nowhere to sit because people leave their backpacks, which makes it uncomfortable. Hotel pickup is super convenient and the views it offers are very beautiful

Very poorly organized and the price was far too high. You pay 28 francs for the same tour. Far too little information.
