Vi tar ett tåg till Nara vid Kyoto station efter att ha träffat en guide på ditt hotell i Kyoto.
Nara Park är ett av de mest kända områdena i Nara City. Det stora området täcker 660 hektar och är känt för sina fritt strövande rådjur och världsberömda tempel. Du kan köpa speciella kex och mata rådjuren.

Todaiji är ett av Japans mest kända och historiskt betydelsefulla tempel i Japan. Templet byggdes 752 som huvudtempel för alla buddhistiska tempel i Japan och blev så mäktigt.
Kasuga Taisha anses vara en av de heligaste helgedomarna i hela Japan. Som en plats där många gudar finns inskrivna, lockar det både lokalbefolkningen och turister som söker en ikonisk shintoupplevelse.
Isuien Garden är en vacker japansk trädgård som ligger i Nara. Det är känt för sin shakkei (lånade landskap) teknik, där det omgivande naturlandskapet, inklusive Mt Wakakusa, är sömlöst införlivas i trädgårdens design. When tourists go visiting a country and choose a private tour guide to a city with great significance, the intent is to have insights, historical and cultural. Our tour lacked this completely. The guide was too new to the place to offer any insights. What the tour company missed completely is understanding what tourists like us expect from a private guided tour and selecting the right guide. Deeply disappointing. If I could figure out how to get to Nara and back by train, I wouldn’t need the tour at all. I don’t know what the tour company was thinking.

Our tour guide Akiko Okada made the day trip to Nara full of history, culture and a beautiful experience for my husband and I. We did not want it to end. She went above and beyond to share her knowledge with us and make us feel comfortable and engaged. We had several tours over the last 10 days and none were like this one. We loved Nara as well and would not have wanted to miss it.

Jun was an amazing guide, extremely friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing time walking the temples, feeding the deer, and even made an additional stop to help me find a souvenir for my family. Everything was well organized, but flexible to our wants and pace.

Nara was a beautiful place and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. He took us to a great ramen spot and even made a quick stop at Fushimi Inari Shrine for us.

Such a lovely day trip. We were staying in Kyoto and Fumi picked us up at our hotel, guided us through the train station, and ensured we were comfortable. Conversation was very nice! Fumi was a joy to spend the day with. Seeing the deer was so special and Fumi had lots of great info to share with us. She took lots of great photos of us with our phones too! She took us to an excellent restaurant for lunch, and when we were tired from a busy week, she was so gracious to quickly adjust our schedule and ensure we made it back comfortably. We had never done a private tour guide before this trip but now, this will be a requirement when visiting new places! Highly recommend!!
