Namib Desert Walk

We both really enjoyed the desert walk, the guide was extremely knowledgable and happy to answer all our questions. Plenty of time to explore the dunes and find as much wildlife as possible. Would recommend to anyone.

Thank you very much for the great and very informative desert tour. With a lot of knowledge and passion, Kevin explained and showed us the Namib and its small desert inhabitants. Highly recommended!!!!

We had such a great morning doing the Living Desert walking tour with Kevin! The fact that the whole tour is on foot makes it such a cool way to explore the Namib Desert and really take everything in without disturbing or damaging the environment or its inhabitants. Kevin is clearly super passionate about the desert and its wildlife, and we learnt so much about the ecosystem and the role all the different animals play. He also has an unbelievable eye for spotting wildlife... no idea how he finds some of these animals! We had such an awesome morning seeing different snakes, gecko, lizards, chameleons and of course Albie. Everything was done in a really respectful and ethical way, which we really appreciated, and we left with some amazing images and memories. Easily the highlight of Swakopmund for me. Thanks for an awesome morning, Kevin.

The tour was just great! Our guide Kevin was able to tell us a lot about the desert, the ecosystem, and the animals. We were also lucky and were able to admire some animals. I would definitely prefer this walking option over a tour by car again, as you can enjoy the peace of the desert and spot the animals much more easily.

Kevin accompanied us through the dunes to spot the sidewinder, the lizards, and the Namibian chameleon. His experience and a bit of luck allowed us to spot all the animals that can be seen in the dunes. I highly recommend this activity to everyone.

A great guiding through the desert. Kevin is fantastic on finding and following tracks that ends up in seeing the small animals that lives in Namib Desert. It's really nice to walk with him, instead of sitting in a car, and try to help tracking.

This was a wonderful morning walk in the Namib. Kevin is a very patient guide and his enthusiasm for the area really shows! We saw many different reptiles, learned about the ecology, and had a great time.

It was a great experience to see the small desert animals up close. Learned a lot about the wonderful ecosystem and had a lot of fun experiencing it up close.

Exploring the Namib on foot and discovering all its little inhabitants with Kevin was an incredible experience. He has an amazing knowledge of the local ecosystem, which he knows how to convey very well. Very eco friendly and with respect for this amazing place. He does tours in German and Afrikaans as well. Highly recommended!!
