Muthurajawela våtmarker är en av de bästa platserna att bevittna både skönheten och fördelarna med ett våtmarks ekosystem. Utöver dess biologiska mångfaldsegenskaper gör den stora omfattningen av mangrove och annan vegetation våtmarken till en idealisk kolsänka som bidrar till klimatkylning. Detta kärr är anmärkningsvärt för sitt unika och mycket varierande ekosystem och är listat som en av 12 prioriterade våtmarker i Sri Lanka som tros ha sitt ursprung för cirka 7 000 år sedan. Du kommer att göra två timmars båttur i denna fascinerande våtmark.

07.00 - Du kommer att mötas och hämtas av vår TUK TUK-förare och köras till Muthurajawela Wetlands. 08.00 - Vid ankomst till startpunkten kommer vår guide att ge dig en kort introduktion om båtturen och säkerhetskrav. Därefter börjar du din båttur med avsikten att få syn på många fåglar så mycket du kan. Muthurajawela våtmarker stöder över 192 olika arter av flora och 209 distinkta arter av fauna, inklusive Slender Loris, samt ytterligare 102 arter av fåglar. Några av de identifierade arterna har visat sig vara inhemska i detta vackra träsk. 10.00 - Efter att ha sett en av de prioriterade våtmarkerna i Sri Lanka, kommer du att tas tillbaka till ditt hotell av vår TUK TUK-förare. 11.00 - Du kommer att släppas av till ditt hotell i Colombo / Negombo.

A perfect trip for nature lovers. We did the early start at 08.00 which was best for the wildlife, and were lucky to have the guide who was great at spotting, and the boat to ourselves. Very enjoyable, loads of photo opportunities, and excellent information. The centre would benefit from some more up to date pictures of the flora & fauna but this did not detract from our enjoyment

Indika was a fabulous driver. Very thoughtful and pointed out sights.The experience itself was excellent. We saw lots of birds and our boat driver knew the waterways and wildlife really well
It was a very enjoyable boat ride and we saw many different birds as well as monitor lizards. The tour operator was very organised and communicated well to ensure pick up details etc.
Boat tour guide and driver very helpful and informative. Guide in particular was very knowledgeable. Tuk Tuk driver just ok.
Excellent tour. Friendly staff and the guide was very knowledgeable about history of the area, the wildlife and the fauna and taught us a lot. The pick-up and drop-off from our hotel in Negombo was smooth. The driver bought us refeshments when headed to the tour and on the way back took us to stops such as a coffee shop. We went in the morning after a very rainy day and because of this we saw dozens of water monitor lizards and various birds. Highly recommended.
Vidu was my driver and he was great, he went above and beyond and was really patient and friendly. The trip was great especially the beach which we had to go through the forest.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about birds and the environment. He showed us many different types of birds, very friendly and approachable, he even brought fresh fruit for a snack. It was an amazing experience.
