Du kommer att vandra i ca 3-4 timmar från berget. Här tar du en paus samtidigt som du har möjlighet att ta det fantastiska vilda livet som omger dig innan du börjar din härkomst.

Efter att ha nått portarna vid Marangu, kommer du att vandra i ca 3-4 timmar till de första lodgarna, 2.700 meter från berget. Really easy hike but the landscape was awesome. I saw several blue monkeys. I only had a day but I am planning on doing it to the top but on a MTB

My guide "Nickson" was extremely accommodating despite how completely unprepared I was for the trip. He carried everything and had a lot of useful information about the sights to see on the hike. He also stayed just a couple steps behind me so that I could set my own pace. I would Definitely recommend this company and this guide for anyone considering this trip.

I was completely satisfied with the service provided by Kilisa. I especially appreciated that the guide tried to customize the day according to my wishes. For example, I like to hike on my own, enjoying the peace of the woods. After my guide heard that, he suggested that we walk a few hundred meters from each other, to give me space (but - at the same time - to be there in case I needed help). The day hike on Kilimanjaro is not too exhausting, it should be manageable for reasonable fit people.
