Mount Kilimanjaro Marangu Route

I returned to Tanzania with my friends for another trek with Maua Adventures. This time round we did the Marangu route and I must confess that we were impressed with the crew and the overall experience. Preparation with Jackson was a breeze as he is always so efficient and professional. I appreciate the all the hard work he put in to ensure that the crew and logistics were in place before our arrival. I believe that we would not have been able to get to the summit independently without the support of the wonderful crew. They knew the route well, where to make the stops and their input was key to our successful summit. The food by great and plentiful. They ensured that we hydrated well and also maintained a lose watch on our health. Accommodation in the cabins was great and comfortable, though I sort of miss the camping we did last time. Getting to the summit was nice and we really nice and still felt good. We are also happy with the 3 day safari to Serengeti that Jackson organized for us. It was amazing. We will come back for safari soon.

My friend recommended Jackson to me and I can say only good things. He organised 2 tours for me: a 5 day Kilimanjaro climb trhough Marangu route and a 5 day Safari. Those tour probably made Tanzania the best I have visited up till now. Jackdon was friendly and helpful. Organised transfer between Moshi and Arusha, hotel before and after tours, etc. I can really recommend as I had so much fun!

I came across Maua Adventures by accident at the Kilimanjaro Airport. It gained my trust and provided great service with moderate reasonable price. I'd recommend it to anybody.

My wife and I had a great time with Jackson and his team the guide and porters ware very friend and helpful. We have booked the 7 days route for good acclimatization but we managed to climb to the summit with in 4 days we did not have any bad altitude sickness just a bit of headache. We can really recommend Maua Adventure and we are looking forward to come back soon

We were in constant communication with Jackson the owner Maua Adventures, helping us prepare excellently for the 6 days Kilimanjaro Marangu climbing expedition. We met our guides Fadhir and Tony the evening before our trek. They briefed about the trek and also brought the gear we had hired. Our crew of eight consisted of 2 guides, 5 porters and 1 cook (Jeremiah- who made fantastic food despite tough conditions). We took a laid back approach on the initial stages, gradually acclimatizing our bodies before the final push for the summit. Fadhir and Tony were truly exceptional, they exceeded our expectations in every way. They looked after our bodily and mental wellbeing helping us succeed summit Kilimanjaro. I did my Kili climb with Maua adventures and would recommend anyone who wants to do the climb to do it with them. Here are a few reasons I enjoyed doing it with them: - They will provide everything you with everything you need for the climb. The only thing I was required to bring was a few long sleeve t-shirts, track pants and some snacks to eat during the hike. The rest of the hiking equipment and clothes including shoes and socks were provided by them. - The team is very supportive and will do everything to make your climb as seamless as possible. I had zero to very little experience hiking prior to climbing Kilimanjaro and never for a moment did the team make it sound to me like the climb would not be possible. We tackled 1 day at a time and I was given a dedicated guide at all times who allowed me to climb at my own pace. - There is no fixed timings and plans for each day. The guides are very flexible and they will plan the days and timing based on how you performed on previous days of the climb. I did the 5 day Marangu trek and comfortably made it to Mandara hut (first day) and Horombo (second day). The third day, climb to Kibo hut, was a little difficult for me and it took me longer than usual to get to Kibo. Post reaching Kibo, climbers generally start their ascend to the summit at midnight the same day but I started mine 2 hours earlier. The guide noticed that I was getting slower as the altitude was getting higher so he decided to start the climb earlier with me and asked another guide to come along to carry my bag pack to make the ascend easier for me.

It was one of the greatest lifetime experiences with Maua Adventures and their whole team from guide to the chef and the porters. It was a very last minute plan for me and They did organize everything very professionally within short time of notice and point on punctual communication from the day we started discussing the trip. They made sure i had 99% information if not 100% on all the requirements, timings, itinerary, the do's and don't's before i got to the starting point. At one point i was wondering if the hike and the crew is going to be just as professional as they seem during the initial communication and it turned out to be the best crew and the best experience. They give all the necessary advices for the trip and one special thing not to miss is they can cater to you special dietary requests. They catered for my specific dietary requirement throughout the 5day hiking to the top and the food was also good. Another important thing to praise them for is their prices are way much affordable. i did shop around but couldn't find a price that could beat theirs and with no exception in the services all that is included in the package is provided at it's best.
