Early morning pick-up by our driver, Widi. We were informed about the pick-up time the day before. Had a lovely conversation all the way to the meeting point for the jeep. He gave us some great recommendations. We had really good weather and a nice view, our jeep driver took some cool pictures. Then we went to the hot springs and had a relaxing time. When we were finished Widi took us back to our hotel but not before stopping at a lookout point of mount batur to get a nice view and pictures. Thank you for making our trip even more enjoyable.
Would definitely recommend this trip it's worth the early start. Our taxi driver Rapi was great and took us to our jeep driver Dobos who took lots of very impressive photos of us.
We loved this trip! The lovely Risa picked us up at 03:00 and drives us safely to the jeep park, where we transferred for the final leg to Mt. Batur. When we arrived at about 04:45 there was a great atmosphere. Eventually there was about 100 other jeeps with passengers on the roofs waiting for the sun rise. Our driver served us breakfast of coffee, banana sandwich, egg and a choc bar. The sun rise is spectacular and our driver took lots of photos of us on the roof with the emerging sun behind us. The driver then took us to the lava lake - this is lava deposited from the 1963 earthquake. Very other-worldly and cool - we had a little walk around, before we were drive back to the car park. Risa was happy to take us to a hot spring, but then we had changed our minds (we hadn’t paid upfront for this) and instead visited the beautiful and serene Lake Batur. All of this and we were dropped back at around 09:00. I’d really recommend this trip. We just paid for the taxi. And then paid cash for the jeep.
