Vid Mossman Gorge njuter vi av upp till 3 timmar av denna extraordinära biologiska mångfald av flora och fauna. En interaktiv resa med vår guide in i regnskogen lär dig om kulturhistoria och betydelsen av floran och faunan i denna region. En naturskön tur norrut längs Great Barrier Reef Drive är en fantastisk utsikt över korallhavet innan du anländer till Port Douglas. Din guide tar dig med på en hel naturskön bilresa i denna populära kuststad genom huvudgatan och upp till Flagstaff Hill, utkik för den perfekta utsikten över 4 mils strand. Om du fortsätter med din guide kommer du att peka ut de pittoreska landskapen, kapellet och ner till Marine Precient innan du plockar upp några nya besökare från Port Douglas.
När vi anländer till vår Daintree River Cruise avnjuter vi vårt förfriskningsstopp för morgonte vid Daintree River. Bekvämligheter finns tillgängliga. Njut av hemlagade läckerheter som serveras med te och kaffe. Efter morgonte går vi ombord på kryssningen kl. 11 på Daintree River. Håll utkik efter lite spänning på vattnet och förvänta dig att se fiskaktivitet, den svårfångade krokodilen som saktar stiger över vattnet eller solar sig längs flodstranden. Du kan också få observera mängden fågelliv, kasuarier och vattendrakar när vi kryssar längs Daintreefloden. Din guide kommer att ge dig en djupgående kommentar om beteenden och iakttagelser av vilda djur samtidigt som du lär dig om detta extraordinära ekosystem. Ett äventyr för alla att njuta av fantastiska möjligheter att fotografera och koppla av och njuta av denna 1 timmes kryssning på Daintree-floden och observera djurlivet och den omgivande skönheten i detta extraordinära flodsystem.
Efter din kryssning kommer din guide att ge dig en naturskön rundtur i Daintree Village innan du anländer till Daintree Tea House för lunch. Njut av en al-la-carte-lunch i restaurangen med australiensisk mat medan du äter i Daintree. Vänligen meddela eventuella särskilda kostbehov när du gör din bokning.
När vi anländer till Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre går vi in på väg till pendelhållplatsen för att gå ombord på bussen för att ta oss in i ravinen. Din guide kommer att ge dig en fullständig introduktion till regionen och fortsätta att dela betydande historia och kunskap om lokalbefolkningen. Den nedre delen av ravinen är fullt tillgänglig för alla åldersgrupper och förmågor. När din guide tar dig längs strandpromenaden fortsätter han att dela med sig av intressanta fakta om den biologiska mångfalden i regnskogen och vilda djur och pekar ut specifika växter, frön och bush tucker som håller detta ekosystem blomstrande. Du kanske gillar att fördjupa dig djupare i denna gamla gamla regnskog genom att välja att ta ett dopp. Om du vill utforska längre in i de övre delarna av Mossman Gorge kommer din guide att ta dig till denna extra vandring för att utforska de djupare regionerna i regnskogen. Observera att den övre regionen är klassad på en medelnivå och inte erbjuder rörelsehinder.
På väg tillbaka mot Cairns passar vi på att ta ett sista stopp vid Rex's Lookout med utsikt över korallhavet. En fantastisk utsikt över kusten som kramar om bergen gör ett fantastiskt foto. Också ett populärt stopp för att titta på paragliders på en bra klar dag.

From pickup to dropoff our family of 7 had a wonderful day on this tour. We saw many crocodiles in the Daintree river, swam in the majestic Mossman Gorge and drove through the buzzing Port Douglas., Simon explained the unique vegetation in an interesting and engaging way. We enjoyed learning about the indigenous story of the areas we visited and Simon’s love of the area shone through. The day was at a comfortable pace and, being a small tour Simon was able to adjust times at different places so we could experience the day to its fullest. We travelled with 2 young children and Simon catered the information to them and they really enjoyed their day. Definitely recommend this tour. A & A

We had a wonderful day! Karlos was a great guide and full of so much knowledge. You can tell that he really enjoys his job and is very approachable and happy to answer any questions. Even though a schedule needed to be kept, the day felt very relaxed and not rushed which was all down to the way Karlos approached the itinerary and the group. The homemade cake before the 1 hour Daintree river cruise to search for crocodiles was a much appreciated added touch and so delicious! The small group added to the personal experience and we enjoyed the day from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this excursion and you will learn so much more about the amazing rainforest and the Mossman Gorge. Thanks Karlos for a very memorable experience!

The tour was absolutely amazing - very engaging and full of beautiful places. We went on a river cruise where we saw crocodiles, walked through the tropical rainforest, and even swam in the river! We also learned a lot of interesting and useful facts about Australia, and overall had a fantastic time. Our guide, Simon, was very attentive, answered all our questions, and even recommended a few great places to visit outside of the tour. I highly recommend booking with Tropic Tours - the small group size, friendly atmosphere, and truly warm and passionate guide made the experience unforgettable!

Simon made the trip feel like you were out with an exceedingly knowledgable friend who was willing to take time to ensure you made the most of the day. It was at our pace rather than his but we still saw and did everything on the itinerary with very personal details added. Our elevenses (morning tea) were included - the drink of your choice with his grandma’s recipe home made fruitcake (luckily there was enough for 2 servings each). Bruce (!), our river cruise guide was Simon’s friend and again very knowledgable (we saw 2 crocodiles). Our trip into Mossman’s Gorge followed a meal of our choice (included in price) and we learnt so much about the rain forest plants and fauna and how they all have their part to play in the ecology of the rainforest - we even saw Ulysses butterflies - so beautiful. My husband swam in the river - a beautiful spot and so peaceful. All in all a brilliant day out.

Everything about this tour was perfect! If you appreciate really understanding everything you are seeing, the history, flora/fauna and enjoy a good yarn, then you will not be disappointed. This is a small group tour and as such it is not a ‘bus tour’ with photo stops. There was an element of flexibility throughout the day, depending on our groups ability, interests and the prevailing weather conditions. All done to provide the best possible experience.
