Insightful and self-paced; really made understanding the abbey possible; however, a little slow paced (we set the pace to 1.25, which helped); would recommend
I love doing a self-guided walking tour. This gives you so much more time to explore on your own. No crowds, no issues.
I was refused entry, using the only tickets that I had from Viatour. I had to purchase my own tickets again in order to get in
Hi there, I'm sorry that you were disappointed with this experience. As the listing states, this is a self-guided tour and does not include entrance tickets to the abbey. This is why you weren't able to redeem the ticket to enter the abbey. I'm sorry that you had a frustrating experience.
We bought our tickets from the Saint Malo tourism bureau for the Abbey and our return bus tickets from one of the local bus operators who take you from near the tourism centre. The bus takes you to the tourism centre near Mint Saint Michel. You can then get the free shuttle (there was quite a line) or walk about 25 minutes on a well marked path. The walk around the Mont does need some fitness and mobility impaired persons will be challenged. There are plenty of restaurants on the Mont and back near the tourism centre. They are a little expensive, we took our own food. There are plenty of places to buy souvenirs and a couple of other smaller museums. A great day, excellent views and well worth it.
The tour was ver informative and a nice length at an hour. Make sure to read the instructions about where to start. Once I got there everything went well :-)
A beautiful experience and impressive views. Despite the low season, it was relatively well attended and full, but absolutely doable. Unfortunately, the museums are not recommended at all and the whole complex is rather confusing and poorly signposted despite the map. The free shuttle service was great. It is recommended that you are a good walker, as there are sooooo many stairs, especially in the abbey. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended!
This is a bait and switch scam. It doesn't include entry to the Abbey. Also, you can purchase an audio tour once you're inside the Abbey for less money. The Abbey is beautiful and I highly recommend it! Just don't waste your money on this experience.
Hi This isn't a scam and we make it clear that entry to the Abbey isn't included. In fact, the first line of the product description says that entry isn't included in the price of this tour. It was beautiful and stunning. It’s like Hogwarts in real life. A magnificent infrastructure. Amazing!
This ticket did not include purchase to Abbey or audio guide. This purchase was very misleading. What is purchased is free to enter besides map which you can get at arrival. This is a scam.

A wonder of the world for sure! Worth every minute spent exploring it..however the audio app did not work and that was disappointing, we ended up reading placards as we went. The over-abundance of souvenir shop is a bit much.
