Vi börjar turnén med besök i kloster Dajbabe, gjord av människan och naturen tillsammans. Denna specifika religiösa plats är en anpassad grotta, gjord i stenar i form av kors.
Efter att ha besökt det hemliga klostret Dajbabe kommer vi att göra parallellen mellan den gamla och nya sakrala symbolen för Podgorica, Sabornog Hrama Hristovog Vaskrsenja, (Gathering Church of Christ's resurrection) unik i sitt monument och arkitektur. Det tog 20 år att vara helt färdig med tekniker som inte var i bruk på åtta århundraden.
Vi fortsätter vår resa till Danilovgrad där vi besöker Ždrebaonik kloster - hjälte bland kloster som brändes och rivits i varje krig som inträffade i detta område, men det står fortfarande stolt över all sin skönhet. Detta kvinnakloster består av bibliotek, sovsalar och platsen där nunnor gör ikoner och souvenirer.
Endast adekvat avslutning på denna dag där århundraden presenteras, kan ge endast en av de mest besökta pilgrimsfärdplatserna på Balkan. Plats som tros vara den där mirakel verkligen händer! Den är snidad i branta stenar; på otroligt 900 m över havet ligger klostret Ostrog. Detta kloster är överbelastat med religiösa människor i alla religioner på grund av helande och andliga förändringar som det väcker hos besökare.

The Monastery private tour is a must. The tour with Tamara tour guide should be your choice when picking for a guide. Her experience and deep knowledge of the Montenegro history gave us a learning insight of the origins of the monasteries. The Ostreg Monastery and the Cave Monastery are absolutely fascinating structures with a religious foundations attached to incredible devotion. And the Women’s Monastery, we never knew this even existed. Thank you Tamara for sharing your country and for giving us such an unforgettable experience!

It was a sunny morning and Ivan was right on time in a nice sedan to pick us up. It was our first time in Montenegro and we were keen to see the famous monasteries. Ivan didnt disappoint, we had such a fantastic trip, the monasteries were so beautiful and Ivan was very passionate about their history. The monasteries have such a rich history and have been looked after really well and preserved. Ivan also shared his insights about his countries history and he was completely unrushed. We also had a bit of a sit down by a lake to take a break from the tour and to talk about life in Montenegro. At the end of the day my friend and me thought that it was less of a tour and more of a trip with a friend, that’s how Ivan made us feel!!! I will recommend this tour to all

Overall this was an excellent tour. Communication before the tour was chaotic and I was concerned, but we were picked up as expected and from that point on, everything was even better than I had hoped. We saw Ostrog Monastery of course, but also 3 others we never would have know to visit on our own. And having Tamara as a tour guide was priceless—she shared information about the country, monasteries, society and culture and it was a very professional and well-run tour. I would not hesitate to use her again and highly recommend this tour.

Very interesting and enjoyable monastery tour. Although the weather wasn’t great - raining and very misty - Tamara brightened everything up with her smiles and helpful advice. Great to see the different types of monasteries and to have Tamara’s historical and cultural explanations about them and local history. Tamara gave us as much time as we wanted to explore and to take photos and even offered to take some photos for us. She also gave us an excellent recommendation for lunch at a local restaurant and for the homemade raspberry juice which they served! Highly recommended! Tamara is an expert and very friendly and kind guide!

The Private Monastery Tour of 5 Montenegrin Monasteries was fantastic. My tour guide Moawyah was also my driver. He was very friendly and very cautious driver. I learned a lot about the history of Christianity in Montenegro, and we were able to see in great detail the fabulous monasteries of Dajbabe, upper Ostrog and lower Ostrog monasteries, as well as the convent of Zdrebaonik, and then the modern but richly decorated Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica (Saborni Hram Hristovog). I had a great day with Moawyah , who is a great conversationalist in many topics, which made the trip even more memorable.
