Efter det att du lämnar 25 april broen bakom kommer du att dyka in i det moderna Lissabon: det nyöppnade Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT). Denna erfarenhet kan slutföras senare med ett besök på Belem Cultural Center (CCB). Fristående från allt annat, på stranden av Tagus floden, upptäcker Monumentet för Discoveries den portugisiska expansionen över haven och väcker en del av det förflutna där Portugal var ett land fullt av ära.
Detta imponerande monument som förklarades av UNESCO som "Kulturarv av mänskligheten" är en arkitektonisk underverk och symboliserar växelverkan mellan Portugal och andra civilisationer och kulturer.
Det mest imponerande exemplet på sen gotisk Manueline-stil, klostret Jerónimos var en del av Saint Jerome-ordningen och klassificeras också som en "kulturell arv av mänskligheten" av UNESCO.

Our guide was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and he took the time to explain the history behind the city. He took us to sample the Tart de Belen. When we finished he also pointed out a great place to have an ice cream. We would hurling recommend.

Diego was our driver on this Tuk Tuk Tour of Belem and Alcantara and he was absolutely fabulous. He shared a wealth of historical information about the area and kept crowded a lot in the 2 hour tour. I would definitely recommend Mon Ami Tours. Communication was prompt and she was readily available via email to answer all our questions. We directly engaged her for a private tour to Sintra and once again she provided us with a fabulous guide by the name of Carlos. Without hesitation I would use this Tour company again if I am in the area.

We took a 4 hour tuk tuk tour with Tiago. Tiago is a very passionate guide! He loves to share his knowledge and history of the city and its food! Great tour visiting almost all the sites you need to visit in Lisbon. The tour in the tuk tuk is fun and fast paced! Thank you Tiago and yes we did love the black pork!

What a wonderful time we had with Frederico! He was on time and ready to show us his city. We had a great history lesson, insightful commentary and a lot of fun. Belem Tower was the highlight and main reason for our tour but Frederico gave us so much more to see! He even gave us fantastic dinner recommendations which were spot on. Good way to see Belém easily and learn some basic information about it. Quick entry into the famous pastry shop, skipping the queue. Tuk tuk ride was fun and comfortable. I felt like we could have learned even more history, though given the overall length of time it was sufficient. Sometimes it’s hard to understand what the guide us telling you while he’s driving the tuk tuk because he simply turns his head to talk and it’s loud and windy.
