Vi investerar specifikt i att skapa unika upplevelser för våra kunder som är inriktade på underbetalda marknader. Vi anställer uteslutande lokalbefolkningen för att tillhandahålla anställning där det betyder något. Vi ser fram emot att ha dig ombord. DALA grundades ursprungligen av Dr Erick Komolo, kenyansk advokat och social entreprenör för att hantera ungdomsarbetslöshet, höga tonårsgraviditeter och skolavfall i hans landsby i sydvästra Kenya. Vi odlar en del av våra vinster till detta uppdrag genom MAKLWETA, ett välgörenhetsförtroende som Dr Komolo grundade.

Kibera är Afrikas näst största informella bosättning efter Soweto, Sydafrika. Med uppskattningsvis en miljon invånare från hela Östafrika trångt i ett 2,5 kvadratmeter stort land, ger Kibera dig en unik möjlighet att uppleva det andra Kenya som är mindre talat om men som är fullt av löfte. Erick, vår grundare, bodde själv i Kibera någon gång när han försökte få professionellt fotfäste och har många släktingar som fortfarande bor där. A very impressive tour of Kibera. Bramwel was a very honest young man. His English is very good and his commitment to the district where he was born is commendable. It may chafe to book such a tour, but the story must be told through.

We had an very insight filled tour , our guide was Bramwell who was able to explain a lot of things to us as a local who was born in Kibera. He was well known amongst the community and made everything feel as though we weren't intruding. Recommended if you want to see some real life without the rose colored glasses.

Amazing and insightful tour! Guide was a local from the area. He was thorough and kind. A truly unique experience. The people of Kibera were very warm and welcoming. Everyone was saying "Hi" and waving. Got to tour the entire area and learn from the locals. This is a must do if you are in the area.

We had an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and had personal connections to the people which allowed us to see into their own lives. Our guide explained each building and what it meant to them as well as cultural norms. Throughout the tour he explained the circumstances or the majority of people living there and reasons that they contributed to live there (things like lack of jobs in the area and little access to sanitary conditions). Definitely a unique experience I would encourage everyone to take part in. •Friendly and informative guide •Interactions with local people
