I’m extremely disappointed with the way WWA staff handled our kayak rental. We rented one double kayak and one single kayak—clearly for three people—and were initially given proper kayak paddles. However, a staff member came back shortly after and took one of the paddles, saying he’d return it. Instead, he came back with an oar, claiming they were short on kayak paddles and had to give it to someone else. Seriously? This is how you operate? Taking equipment from paying customers mid-rental and replacing it with something inadequate? When I questioned him, he had no answer and simply walked away. The lack of accountability was shocking. Trying to navigate without the right paddle made the entire experience frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. We were left with no choice but to deal with it, and it absolutely ruined what should have been an enjoyable outing. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this was unacceptable. The staff’s poor handling and lack of responsibility not only showed a disregard for customer experience but also basic professionalism. Management needs to step in and ensure this doesn’t happen again.

This trip was a birthday present from a friend - and one of the best one's ever! There were 3 other groups who filled 4 rafts, so she and I ended up with our own raft. It was my friend's first rafting trip and it had been several years since my last one. Our guide, ETHAN, did a wonderful job of getting us acclimated to the raft, water, and his commands for paddling before we started moving down the river. He was very engaging and we had a wonderful time sharing our stories and learning about the area. The Yough did not disappoint as the water was fairly high after a week or so of rain. The temps were in the 50s - cool even for PA in late May, so the wet suits were a must and greatly appreciated. The toughest part was carrying the raft down to the river and later out of the river and up a hill to the trailer. Ethan and the safety guide, Derek, thankfully helped up out. I absolutely recommend White Water Adventurers for anyone looking for an adventure down the Youghiogheny River - and ask for Ethan!!

Everything was well done…But Jay was amazing! Lovely young lady with skills and a great personality!!! My family of 6 had a great experience, it was the highlight of our trip to Ohio Pyle…

Loved it. Jay our guide was wonderful. She helped me feel comfortable and I was nervous. My 2 teenagers loved the tour with Jay and want to come back in the spring when the water is higher.
