Mid-day & Sunset Segling på Seattles Majestic Puget Sound

Upplev magin i att bäras av vinden, precis som Peter Puget var när han kartlade dessa vatten redan 1792. Från Seattles Shilshole Bay Marina seglar vi västerut över Puget Sound mot de magnifika Olympic Mountains. Längs vägen kommer vi att titta efter späckhuggare, skolor av våra lokala tumlare, sjölejon, knubbsälar, havsörnar, stora blåhäger och annat vilda djur. På solnedgångskryssningen kommer vi att njuta av ljusshowen när solen sjunker bakom det välkända berget Olympus och andra toppar i Olympic Range och lyser upp fjäderlika horisontmoln i strålande färger. Kapten Grant, som innehar en 100-tons Master of Inland Waters-licens från U.S. Coast Guard, är dedikerad till att dela glädjen av att vara på vattnet med andra. En före detta reporter för Seattle Times, tidigare Science and Medical-skribent för Associated Press och författare till fyra böcker (varav en utsågs till en av årets 10 bästa fackböcker av American Library Association) Grant är en naturlig berättare.

På väg ut ur marinan kan du njuta av utsikten över mer än 1 800 yachter när vi sedan passerar Seattles favoritsaltvattenpark Golden Gardens när vi seglar, på väg västerut över Puget Sound.
I söder kommer vi att segla förbi Discovery Park med dess historiska West Point Lighthouse, som har skyddat fartyg från stimvatten när vi kommer in i Seattle sedan 1881.
På klara dagar bör du ha en spektakulär utsikt över Mount Rainier, som anses vara ett av de vackraste bergen i världen.
På en klar dag, i norr, njut av utsikten över Mount Baker, delstatens näst högsta berg. Det kallas en "Two Mountain Day" när du kan se Mount Baker i norr och Mount Rainier i söder medan du seglar över Puget Sound.
När vi seglar västerut kommer vi över sundet att riktas direkt mot de magnifika Olympic Mountains, hjärtat av Olympic National Park. För solnedgångssegel ger bergen fantastiska solnedgångar. När solen går ner bakom dem lyser den upp bergskedjan och eventuella fläckiga moln ovanför.

Loved the laid back, friendly vibe of this trip! Got to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery which included baby seals sunning on the rocks on way out of the marina. Captain Grant and his daughter Grace were most hospitable and generous in sharing details of the area. Each of the passengers even had a turn in steering the boat! Highly recommend!
Capt Grant and his daughter were awesome! Very accommodating. Very knowledgeable. They provided an incredible experience and treated us all like family coming in for a weekend visit. Would highly recommend.
This trip was amazing. We managed to see seals, sea lions and dolphins all in one trip. So relaxing and the captain was very accommodating to everyone on board. It was the best way to spend and afternoon.

We had a wonderful time sailing with Captain Grant! I booked this as a birthday gift for my husband’s 74th birthday! Both of us loved sailing when we were younger and throughly enjoyed this trip! We saw dozens of sea lions in a dock at the outer edge of the marina, were both able to take the helm crossing the Sound and enjoyed a couple of glasses of champagne in celebration on the way back. I highly recommend this trip - you will not be disappointed!
I had a great time with the Captain and his daughter. 1st class all the way. Saw Herons, Sea Lions, Seals, Art, and just a beautiful day on the water. The Captain even dropped me off by the Locks so I could enjoy the Sequoia, Sweetgum and a gorgeous park. Thank you! 🙏 ❤️
Captain Grant did an awesome job welcoming us aboard Sparkles. We really enjoyed our time with him and his lovely daughter Grace. The sunset was beautiful and I can't wait to return to discover more of Puget Sound

Amazing service from Captain Grant! It was so beautiful to see the sunset. He made sure we had a great time, and even tried to help us see the wildlife. Luckily for us, there were plenty of seals waiting for us to say hi! Will definitely be back, made us feel very comfortable and right at home on his boat. Thanks Grant!
