Njut av en privat resa med bil eller minibuss till Meteora, UNESCO:s världsarvslistade kloster. Meteora betyder "mitt på himlen", och med sina upphöjda höjder och nästan mystiska otillgänglighet verkar Metéoraklostren sväva mot himlen och spegla människans strävan efter helighet. Passera naturligt formade grottor där de första eremiterna bodde och titta på den hisnande utsikten. Efter den fascinerande rundturen i de 3 mest tillgängliga klostren kan du njuta av en härlig lunch med grekiska traditionella rätter och "Mezedes" i den pittoreska byn Kastraki. På vägen tillbaka till Aten, stanna vid Thermopyle, där en av de mest episka strider genom tiderna ägde rum. 300 spartaner mötte den persiska armén och stoppade dem i 2 dagar. Metéora-klostren är hisnande overkligt och fridfullt andligt och springer fram ur ett drömskt landskap av steniga megaliter på slätterna i Thessaliendalen. De första eremiterna kom till detta avlägsna hörn av Grekland åtminstone redan på 1000-talet för att dra sig tillbaka från världen och begrunda gudomlighet. Kristna ortodoxa munkar började bygga kloster här på 1300-talet. Ursprungligen stod 24 kloster på denna häpnadsväckande plats, byggda på kanterna av svindlande klippor eller uppflugna på skira sandstensformationer så höga som 300 meter. Med sina upphöjda höjder och nästan mystiska otillgänglighet verkar Metéora-klostren sväva mot himlen och spegla människans strävan efter helighet. Vänligen var anständigt klädd. Kvinnor rekommenderas att bära långa kjolar och långa ärmar. Har du inte det får du en kjol i vägen in.
På väg tillbaka till Aten, stanna vid Thermopylae, där en av de mest episka striderna i alla tider ägde rum. 300 spartan mötte den persiska armén och stoppade dem i två dagar. Se slagfältet och statyn av kung Leonidas.

Upphämtningsplatser och tider
-Vi hämtar från alla boenden i Aten. För området för upphämtning / avlämning på flygplatsen finns det extra kostnad, kontakta oss. -Rekommenderad outfit för kvinnor är lång kjol eller lång klänning. Om du inte har, kommer de att ge dig där en halsduk att sätta på midjan, ( 3 € avgift ) eller om du har en kan du göra samma sak. För män är lämpligt att bära långa byxor. Även klostren accepterar inte kort så vänligen ha kontanter med dig. Det är 5 € per person och kloster.

Great trip! Meteora was fantastic to see and Mr George was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with and provided an enjoyable means of getting there and experiencing it. Pickup instructions were sent early and were clear and Mr George was there early w breakfast snacks and water. Highly recommend!

Today took a day trip to Meteora, the overall experience was great and exceeded expectations. The tour started with a visit to the Battlefield and Museum of the Three Hundred Warriors in Sparta, which gave us a deeper understanding of ancient Greek history and added a cultural and historical background to the subsequent journey. Upon arrival in Medellín, we actually visited 2 of the 6 monasteries and admired the spectacular views of the rest of the monasteries at several sights along the way. Although not entering all the monasteries, panoramic photos of the 6 monasteries taken from the outside are stunning from every angle. The enormous rock columns and architecture perfectly merge, as if in a fairy tale world, the view is both magical and majestic. The most memorable is the peace of mind brought by the whole Medellín. Even with other visitors, there is still a peaceful and sacred atmosphere, allowing people to slow down and quietly enjoy the wonders created by nature and human faith. Lunch arranged in the town under the Medeora mountain, the environment is quiet and comfortable, residents and shoppers are very friendly and warm, is a good place to relax. If you are coming to Greece, I highly recommend arranging a day trip to Medellín. The spectacular scenery, the deep historical culture and the immersive atmosphere make this trip one of the most memorable memories of this trip to Greece.

Magical day at Meteroa. Our guide Theo T was very warm and friendly, very informative and chatty so we learnt a lot about ordinary life of Athenians. Speaks v good English. Theo was good with avoiding big crowds and timed our stops perfectly. Do request for Theo T for anything Athens.

Mr. George was an absolute font of knowledge. It was a long day, but comfortable and totally worth it to see and experience all that we saw and did. The snacks were plenty and the choice for dinner was phenomenal. I highly recommend this tour.

It was approximately a little less than a four hour car ride each way, but the experience was totally worth it. Our driver Georgios was friendly and very informative, and his car was quite comfortable. He was very accommodating as far as stopping whenever we wanted for food or photo shoots at scenic locations. We visited three different monasteries, and while we had a favorite, each one was most enjoyable. The views were terrific and the monasteries were so interesting. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us, and we are very happy we decided to include this trip in our itinerary'
