Efter att ha blivit upphämtade från din mötesplats reser vi Meteora med buss i en liten grupp Under den 4 timmar långa resan ta i den fantastiska landsbygden när du reser och ta några bilder. Ankomst till den traditionella staden Kalabaka vid middagstid, perfekt tid för en traditionell lunch (om alternativ väljs) för att fylla dig med energi (vegetariska och veganska alternativ tillgängliga)
Besök Eremitgrottorna kända av lokalbefolkningen som Badovas-grottorna. Eremitgrottorna i Badovas ligger mycket nära byn Kastraki. Mellan byn och staden Kalabaka Badovas är namnet på det närliggande restaurerade men övergivna klostret tillägnat Sankt Nicolas av Badovas. Grottorna där eremitmunkar brukade leva ett extraordinärt liv på 1300-talet ligger mellan staden Kalbaka och byn Kastraki. Området är omgivet av nedsänkta stenpelare som kallas Pyxari och Amparia och några andra mindre stenar.

Pick up spots need to be better identified. It’s not always easy to get the grid coordinates. Show some landmarks or pictures if the pickup spot is fixed. Also, late by 15 mins so I wasn’t sure if I was in the correct spot. Your guide was great! Lunch was, meh. A very long day.
Excellently organized excursion: wonderful natural views, mountain cliffs, monasteries, delicious lunch in a family restaurant with a wide range of dishes. Visiting two monasteries on a hot day is enough, because you have to climb more than a hundred steps on steep stairs to the entrance. Guide Eva is professional and responsive - takes care of everyone!

I really enjoyed this trip to Meteora, it was really great, well planned. The bus driver Leonides was nice and driving very calmly and the guide Fredeiriki was really great, she knows everything about Meteora, she was very helpful and organized. Lunch was also very nice, so I can advise this trip for sure, you will like it.

Yes it’s A lot of driving BUT it’s worth it. This tour puts you in very capable hands. Let’s start with the drivers, they expertly took the beautiful air-conditioning Bus up and possibly narrow roads to the peaks of these mountains so we can easily access the monasteries.There was a heat wave so it was quite hot at the time however it was worth it. We were travelling with a family of six we managed to do it. I recommend taking the lunch option. Eva, our guide was very sweet and super helpful.
We had a wonderful time in Meteora. Although it took a long time to get there from Athen, it's worth a visit. The beautiful scenery there will leave you a lasting impression. Our guide, Eva, is excellent. She always gives clear introductions to the places we visited with a smile on her face. Thank you very much.
Beautiful area. The drive is also worth it for the photo stops. You can borrow skirts and scarves at the monastery.
A fantastic trip and to a must-see location when visiting Greece! Very well organised with pick-up at a few selected locations in central Athens. The drive up to Kalabaka is quite long, but the driver was great - attentive to our needs and helpful to make sure we got enough breaks and still keep the schedule. The views of Meteora are otherworldly and the atmosphere of the monasteries is truly unique. The guide was also very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. The lunch was on the simpler side, but tasteful and filling.
An incredible experience. The thought of monks building these monasteries is insane. The views are nothing short of stunning. Our tour group were very good. The lunch was a good traditional experience. Be prepared for a 5 hr bus ride each way. Recommend sitting on the right side for the best views. We had the opportunity to enter two monastries. The monastries will touch you up for 5 euro for each entry. The tour group have nothing to do with this charge.
