Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour

Our Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour was an exceptional experience!! The beauty of the lake, waterfalls, the sun coming up over the lake as we made our way across - all of it - reminded us of all the beauty in this world. Our guides Elishen and Joe were definitely a highlight of our tour as well! From the warm welcome at the van to the careful instruction and fun and educational approach to the day, you could tell how much they enjoyed what they were doing. Joy, fun, enthusiasm, love of nature, and the utmost professionalism would be the words to describe Joe and Elishen! We highly recommend Liquid Alaska Tours!!!

My experience was AWESOME! i was not expecting it at all, our guides (Elymus and Sophie) were the best! it truly shows how much they love their job and how much care they put into the whole experience! Such an amazing and recommended trip for sure ! If you come to Juneau, Ak this is a MUST DO!! And alsoooo, everything is given to you, so it’s the most complete, easy, fun and enjoyable tour i’ve had so far. (just saying lol) :)

Elisha and Liquid Alaska offered an incredible canoe trip on Mendenhall Lake and Glacier. Elisha, our guide, is great, knowledgeable, funny, and personable! Of course, safety was his number one priority, and it was an incredible experience! Liquid Alaska picked us up at the AJ Dock, per the instructions, and we took a short bus ride to Mendenhall Lake. Liquid Alaska provided water-resistant pants, jacket, gloves, PFD and boots. They also provided a waterproof bag, including a bottle of water and small snacks. After arriving at the Lake and a short safety and instruction demonstration, we boarded our canoe and began the tour. Elisha provided us multiple breaks throughout the tour to recharge and soak up the incredible scenery. We will absolutely return to Juneau in the near future and utilize Liquid Alaska and hopefully experience more of Juneau.

If you go to Alaska this is a MUST DO. Our guides Elymus and Brady were knowledgeable and funny. They also managed to get a group of 4 (myself, wife, and another two we had never met) to the hiking portion and back. This was by far the best excursion I have ever done.

My husband and I took a trip to celebrate my 40th - and we could not have picked a better excursion. It was my first time canoeing and hiking! Elymus & Brady were so knowledgeable, kind, funny, and most of all diligent in our safety! Never once did I feel uneasy or scared with the new terrain I was attacking or getting in and out of the canoe! Thank you all so much for an unforgettable experience!

The canoe trip to see the Mendenhall Glacier was my favorite experience in Alaska. Cortland and Brady were excellent guides who encouraged us in paddling our canoe and shared a lot of interesting information about the glacier and the surrounding. I loved getting close enough to the glacier to see the cracks and the blue color. I highly recommend this excursion.

Wow - we lucked out and had a gorgeous sunny day canoeing on the lake! The canoeing was harder than we expected & we are active 50 year olds. It was a 7 mile round trip canoe trip with appx 10 couples in the large spacious canoe. Seven miles doesn’t sound far, but with a bit of wind, it was a workout. One of the highlights was seeing the water fall - it was gorgeous. The “hike”, after we beached the canoe near the glacier, was somewhat disappointing as we wanted to hike further than 1000ish feet. It was a pretty short walk but regardless, it was beautiful and absolutely worth the stop to see and hear about the landscape and glacier as it has changed over the years. Our two guides “Dogman” and Cortland were amazing - truly the best as they made the trip enjoyable, entertaining and educational.

Courtland and Sophie were the best team guides ever! They were friendly, interesting, and knowledgeable, it was great fun!

I had a fantastic time on the ice adventure with Elymus and Elisha! It was absolutely amazing to see the face of the glacier from the desolation zone, and getting to paddle close to Nugget Falls was such a cool experience. Elymus was super informative, teaching us about the hemlock and some of the geology in the area, and Elisha was a great captain keeping us in sync and entertained the whole way. I definitely recommend this tour!

This trip was fabulous Sophia and Elymus were so knowledgeable about all the Flora and Fauna. They gave us so much information on the glacier, really made the trip perfect! I would recommend this trip to anyone.
