Berlin Sachsenhausen Tour: Följ med oss på ett unikt turnéevenemang på ett djupgående och unikt besök i Sachsenhausen! Detta är Birchy's Berlins Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Tour. Koncentrationsläger var ett nyckelinstrument i den nazistiska terrorregimen, och koncentrationslägret Sachsenhausen var unikt. Lägret var det första specialbyggda koncentrationslägret i Tredje riket och det närmast Berlin. Det är också ett av de mest besökta koncentrationslägren under andra världskriget i världen. Denna turné är ett komplett besök på minneslägret. Turen börjar i Berlins centrum, där du möter din guide, Aaron. Efter det tar vi en kort tågresa ut till Sachsenhausen Camp Memorial. Aaron har haft en officiell certifierad Sachsenhausen Tour Guide License i många år och har deltagit i ett flertal kurser samt utbildat andra Berlin-guider. Hans erfarenhet och unika historiska kunskap om Sachsenhausen gör denna turné som ingen annan! Följ med Birchy eller en av våra expertguider på en allmän rundtur när vi beger oss till norra Berlin och besöker det som var det närmaste koncentrationslägret till tredje rikets huvudstad, koncentrationslägret Sachsenhausen. Vi kommer att titta på hur koncentrationslägersystemet utvecklades från ad-hoc-fängelser till specialbyggda anläggningar och titta på den mångfald av funktioner, brott, experiment, mord och massmord som inträffade inom (och ibland utanför) lägrets gränser. från sommaren 1936 - till dess befrielse i slutet av april 1945. An excellent well put together tour, our guide Paul was extremely knowledgeable and handle the tour really well. For anyone interested in visiting here to learn more about this chapter in German history, would recommend you book with Paul and Birchys Tours.
Would highly recommend this tour! We had Paul as our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about not only Sachsenhausen camp and WWII but around all history of Berlin and Europe. I learnt a lot and Paul had detailed answers to everyone’s questions. This is a must do tour when visiting Berlin!!
Paul was a great guide, he really was knowledgeable about all the sites we went too and over all the experience was great, the meeting point was easy to get to and getting to sachsenhausen was also stress free thanks to Paul. Cannot recommend enough!
Our tour was definitely made by having Paul as our guide. He has so much knowledge and shares it in a way that is clear, understandable and doesn’t avoid the tough/sad/heat breaking details. The day was bitterly cold but the time on the train and at the Memorial flew by. Highly recommend this tour - it added so much to (what we thought) was an already decent knowledge base.

Terrible history and very sad tour. Our guide was knowledgable and made sure we saw the most impactful parts.
We went on this trip which was booked last minute whilst we were in Berlin. The booking process was very easy and straightforward, with excellent correspondence from the company. Our tour guide was Ciaran, who I must say was absolutely amazing! I can’t have asked for a better guide. I could really sense the passion from him, and he is very knowledgable, regardless of the questions asked. Ciaran took the time to explain about the longstanding political, economic, & wartime history of Germany which really put everything into perspective. Honestly, this was an absolutely amazing experience and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.
It was a very colorful and in-depth storytelling of both the history of pre-war Germany along with the hardships and atrocities endured by prisoners.
Beth the guide was great. Social, committed and deeply knowledgeable about the subject. Top marks to Beth! The information from TripAdvisor should be updated. Ex no bus ride from the train station but 20 minutes walk, which was great for our party, but should be informed about. No set aside time for lunch so a steady breakfast before or brought sandwich is needed.
