Chalk Hill-arvet började med John Harveys ankomst till Adelaide 1839 när det bodde cirka 6 000 människor i Adelaide. John var den andra personen som planterade vinrankor norr om Adelaide, före födelsen av vinodlingsregionerna Barossa och Clare. Sex generationer och 185 år senare fortsätter familjen Harvey sitt druvodlings- och vinframställningsarv i McLaren Vale med Chalk Hill. Vi beräknar hämtningstiden när vi vet platsen och öppettiden för den första vingården, vissa öppnar klockan 10 och andra kl 11. Alla passagerare måste vara redo i tid för att dagen ska fungera perfekt.

We have booked with George for the past three years for our McLaren Vale wine tour and will continue to book with him every time we come back. His warm and friendly service is appreciated, and the extra touches like taking photos and suggesting new places to visit is always appreciated. He is very professional and personable.

George knew everyone at all the wineries. he catered specifically to our needs. offered good advice, and changed when needed. As a driving companion George was both professional and easy going offered excellent tips and history on the vineyards . The day felt safe and well catered. A brilliant day that we’ll remember for a long time - 4 guys and a wonderful day of wine tasting! George was so friendly and knowledgeable, so we could relax and he drove us to some beautiful places in McLaren Vale that we wouldn’t have known - the highlight being D’Arenberg and “the cube” there - a must see! I’ve told lots of friends and highly recommend George (he even played our favourite music on the way back to Adelaide!). Do yourself a favour and book this - you won’t be disappointed! Great wine tour visiting four very different wineries each offering very good wines to taste. Had a nice lunch on a wineyard with great views over the wines. The guide was superb, very knowledgeable and helpful even taking us to an extra 5th place for a glass of shiraz. We had a great time

George took my wife and I on a simply amazing day tasting wine through the McLaren Vale. While we were a bit time crunched, needing to get back to our cruise ship, we were still able to get four wineries, some breakfast, and great lunch in during the day. George couldn’t have been any friendlier and the best guide. We’ll definitely use him again if we make it back to Adelaide.
