Endast med oss kan du organisera en tur som leds av platsens bästa auktoriserade guider. Det börjar med solnedgångens ljus och slutar med kvällens spännande ljus. Turen avslutas inte bara med ett besök i hela antika Matera utan inkluderar även inträde till olika grottmiljöer: ett typiskt möblerat grotthus och en vacker freskerad grottkyrka.

Det är stadens mest suggestiva panoramautsiktspunkt. Matera upplyst på natten är en julkrubba inuti en julkrubba.
I Casa Grotta del Casalnuovo är det möjligt att uppleva ett riktigt Sassi-hus genom dess originalmöbler och de vardagliga verktyg som familjen som bodde där använde i sina dagliga liv. Det som vanligtvis kallas grotthus är riktiga etnografiska samlingar, små museer med föremål av allmänt bruk och verk från den tid då Sassi var bebodda, före avfolkningen som inträffade på 1950-talet. Inuti har husets ursprungliga rum och möbler rekonstruerats innan de gamla stadsdelarna avfolkades i slutet av 1950-talet.
Detta är hjärtat av Sasso Caveoso, det äldsta området utgrävt i berget framför de förhistoriska grottorna från vilka du kan beundra Gravinadalen.
Madonna delle Grazie-kyrkan är en mycket liten men charmig stenkyrka, belägen i Sasso Caveoso-området, några meter från Casa Cisterna. Denna lilla kyrka förtjänar att inkluderas bland de saker att se i Matera eftersom den är en pärla och ligger långt från turistmassorna.
Sassi di Matera är två distrikt i Matera, Sasso Caveoso och Sasso Barisano, som består av byggnader och grottarkitektur utgrävda i berget i Murgia Materana. Tillsammans med Civita-distriktet utgör de Materas historiska centrum. År 1993 utsågs de till ett UNESCO-världsarv.

Our guide Brunella was spectacular. She showed us Matera in a way that only someone who lives there can. It did not feel like a tour that recounted a script made for her but truly a conversation with someone who loves this city!
We were extremely satisfied; Luca, the guide, was very thorough and made us relive the history of Matera from the years when it was considered the shame of Italy to today... An open-air museum 😍 I highly recommend it.
I did the tour knowing it was in Italian but there was no English option at that time. I loved walking around in the evening and the point is to view the sight. The best part and why I booked the tour was the entry to a church and cave house that I otherwise would not have seen.

At the beginning a little hesitant as the duration of the visit was 2 hours , and I did not believe that my 8-year-old son would be fascinated, fortunately also thanks to the guide that fully involved him the 2 hours have passed pleasantly, I recommend this guide that explains the real Matera and from great advice, important to have comfortable shoes.
