We had a great experience and the wildlife was amazing.

I went with my son and they were about eight others in our timeslot. It’s August and it’s hot and humid out. Our guide was the low light of the experience. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what, but she came off as plain rude and scary. I would absolutely not do this experience again with this company or her again. First of all, we could barely hear her throughout the whole trip. At the beginning, when she was giving instructions, we were right next to a factory, and it was so loud that everybody had a lean in and even then it was difficult to hear her. When it was time to get into the kayak, I hesitated because I wasn’t sure if I had heard the instructions correctly so I asked her and she just looked right through me for a good 15 seconds without saying anything before another customer told me what to do. And the look that she gave me was pretty much telling me that I was stupid or hadn’t listened to her. Now, during the experience, most of the time we were just following her with a few pit stops inbetween to tell us about things but most could not hear her. There was zero instruction or tips on how to kayak so it was obvious who the newcomers were to this activity. Instead of being helpful or understanding to those who have never kayaked before, the guide made it clear that she was annoyed if you were unable to control your kayak at any point during the experience. One of the customers had to maneuver around the guide while she was giving instruction because her kayak was simply floating in the wrong direction and the guide stopped talking, made it clear through her body language that she was again annoyed, and only continued when the customer came back around. It was really uncalled for and made everybody in the group uncomfortable. Now I work in the customer service field (30+ years), and her customer service was absolutely nonexistent. The funniest part is at the end of the experience, she had the audacity to ask for tips!!! My tip for her is to be more customer service friendly because she was not at all friend friendly and that made the whole experience sour.

Stephen and Kate are exceptionally kind humans who take their job of hosting visitors seriously. They are both very knowledgeable about the area animals and history. They’re respectful to wildlife, shutting down the boat when manatee were near and taking every measure to be safe, respectful of Florida residents living in the area, and making sure guests had a great time.

The guide was great. He gave thorough instructions on kayaking. He also explained what to do if there was an accident. I would definitely book with them again.

The guide (Erin) was not friendly at all. She refused to answer questions in a pretty rude tone, and her voice was so soft, no one could hear anything while on the water. She also seemed to just paddle on her own, not waiting for anyone. We were on our own mostly, trying to catch up. The scenery is beautiful, but a tour guide should be friendly and loud by definition.

I enjoy kayaking so being on the water is always a joy, as our tour guide Aerin came off as rude the very start of the adventure witch was paperwork. She would snach the paper from you like she had better things to do then wait for you to hand her the documents but she was full of information when She chose to speak. That being said the guide was silent most the tour. It seemed very prompted almost when she did stop the 2 times she did. She did not check on the any of the kayaking family's. Who fell behind and seemed to be struggling. We did see wild life witch is always a site to see and enjoyable, i recommend kayaking for all who are considering it but maybe not with Aerin to start. Having the right guide makes such a difference and makes the tour enjoyable or not.

It was a great experience, Dan was very knowledgeable and had a lot of great information. He also was willing to answer questions! Great time!

The trip itself was pretty nice. The lagoon is a beautiful place and it's always nice to be out there. I was really disappointed with the tour guide. She wasn't loud enough for anybody to hear, she tried to have a sense of humor but no one thought she was funny, and I was able to pick out more wildlife then she pointed out.. she was incredibly soft-spoken and very scatterbrained... she was all over the place in the things she was saying. we didn't see much wildlife but I kind of expected that because it was extremely hot out.. and you can't fault the company for not finding wildlife.. but overall I went on a tour instead of going out with my nephew on my own kayaks because I was hoping the tour guide would keep him entertained better than I could and it failed in that respect..
