Only car with driver from hotel to Vallletta, then Valletta to Mdina, Mdina back to hotel. No tour guide. It would only cost max 100eu for a taxi or bolt. No way it costs more than 250eu!! Better refund
Our website clearly outlines what we offer, (optional guide) include a driver who can respond to some questions in English, so please feel free to read it. I even showed you a 10 minute documentary about Mdina, and without any prompting from you, I shared some Maltese history. Yet you booked the tour the night before in a rush and didn’t bother to go over the itinerary, but then acted as though you knew better.
Marlen Tours was great! Very accommodating to make sure we got to see all the locations on my list, provided additional pictures of locations and a very comfortable ride with local history and city information. Highly recommend stopping at the Blue Grotto and Mdina!

We had a wonderful tour! Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable about the county and what we were seeing. The boat ride in the caves was absolutely gorgeous and worth the 10 euros. We also visited the medieval city of Mdina. Fabulous! Wish we could have stayed another day to see everything the city had to offer. The basillica is a must see! The entire tour was well worth the money.

Ralph was our guide. There were two couples on a private tour. He picked us up on time. After that, everything went downhill. He did not provide us with any narrative on our drive. He was able to answer most of our questions, but didn't talk about anything as we drove. There were several places mentioned when we chose to book this tour that we never saw, or even had the opportunity to see. He took us to a couple of places that were beautiful and great photo opps, but beyond that there was nothing to do. He dropped us off at Mdina and asked that we call when we were done, he said about 2 hours. When he picked us up there, after a 15 minute wait, he offered us two options for returning to our cruise ship and that was all we got. I would consider it more like a taxi ride than the "private tour" we paid for.
Ralph was a Driver not a guide, if you wanted a history lesson you should opt for the OPTINAL tour guide, Our site said it clear (OPTIONAL GUIDE) It looks that the driver did a his job well he answered your Questions, You didn't read correct before you booked your 4 hour tour. San Anthon gardens is closed for refurbishing, but instead, he took you to a beautiful place like Blue Grotto, to see the caves on a boat ride, You said it your self (He took us to a couple of places that were beautiful and great photo opps, Just so you know, to visit Mdina a 4000 years old medieval city you need a day, how many places you pretend to visit in 4 hours. Our driver and guide Carmen picked us up on time. She did not understand us and had difficulty speaking English. She lives in Malta and could not tell us basic info about Malta which I as a traveller knew. She would drive us to a place and did not have any info for us. Did not know the cost either. All our questions were answered with a YES or NO. A total waste of our time. Please issue refund. All other Guides(4) were very good.
Hi, you bought a private tour for 4 hours and you had an option to order a guide (optional) didn't you read before you booked your tour, You was greedy to opt for the guide but you still pretended to receive a free history lesson, she was a driver and not a guide, next time before you book a tour read the instructions carefully. good day
Views were excellent however, our driver didn’t explain anything. Another group was in separate van with driver that was explaining everything. We had English as language and they changed it to English written and said we would get tour booklet. We asked the other driver who gave us 1 booklet to share.
Hi Kathleen, If you read the itinerary it doesn't say that this tour include a guide, i you wanted a guide you have it by written it is optional and you have to order it and pay another €25 an hour.
We got picked up from the cruise port. Some may need to take a ferry from the cruise ship to the pick up stop. The ferry runs every 30mins. Ralph was our driver. He spoke excellent English. He took us to the Blue Grotto. We took the little boat ride 10 euros per person. This was a must see and do. Then we went to the cliffs. Very nice view. Not that big a deal compared to the grotto. Then to mdina, very cool. Then back to Valletta, our starting point.

We have never had a Guide as lovely as Mark was in Malta. He picked us up at the airport the first day, took us touring the next day to. Valletta and Mdina, picked up our kids (having to wait for a delayed flight), drove us to our boat tour and did several kind favors for us while we were on the island. His van is roomy and air conditioned. Mark is a local and is so kind and patient and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mark was brilliant! If you can request people, request Mark! His contact the day before was awesome, and on the day he was really informative, knew lots of interesting facts about Malta; he was really flexible and friendly, he even had cold water for us! He had a plan for the tour but also adapted it to suit us! Thank you Mark for a lovely 4 hours
