Magiska städer: Ajijic // Tlaquepaque och Chapala
Beskrivning
På denna natursköna tur besöker vi Ajijic, en pittoresk och magisk stad med kullerstensgator, färgglada hus och urban konst som gör den till ett utmärkt turistmål. Vi kommer att uppskatta sjöns skönhet, smaka på förspansktalande drycker och bevittna vävarnas arbete. Vi fortsätter till staden Chapala för mer promenader och hantverksinköp om ni vill. Slutligen avslutar vi i Tlaquepaque för lunch och för att njuta av konstgallerierna och de gamla herrgårdarna.

Vi lämnar GDL och kör ca. 1:30 timmar. Ajijic är en av städerna vid Chapalasjöns strand som har ett utmärkt klimat. Här tar vi en promenad längs strandpromenaden där vi kommer att prata om ortens historia och seder. Vi fortsätter mot det stora torget för att se de mest representativa delarna av staden som församlingen San Andrés, hantverkstorget och de dödas mur. Vi avslutade och åkte till Chapala.
Resan kommer att ta cirka 45 minuter. Vid ankomsten börjar vi en promenad och guiden förklarar Tlaquepaques historia, sedan besöker vi flera konstgallerier, börjar med Sergio Bustamante, vi går för att besöka huvudattraktionerna som Tlaquepaque parián och slutligen väljer vi en restaurang med alternativet av mariachi eller inte för att avsluta denna rundtur i magiska städer
Efter att ha kört 20 minuter från Ajijic kommer vi fram till Chapala. Här kommer guiden att prata med dig om sjöns betydelse och ger dig en historisk översikt över den största sjön i Mexiko och ger dig fri tid att gå på strandpromenaden där du kan njuta av typiska snacks och drycker samt köpa souvenirer på loppis. Slutligen besöker vi kulturhuset som är den gamla järnvägsstationen där vi kommer att se en utställning med förspansktalande föremål, tillfälliga konstutställningar och ett gammalt lokomotiv.

This was amazing! It was all day and we got to see and experience life like a local. Daniel has so much knowledge about the towns and their history as well as the people. He shares the best places to eat and get true local goods. He offers time to explore if you choose, too. It’s a must see!
The tour guide is the best. He knows everything there is to know about also the places we went. He's sincere, honest, and really goes out of his way to make you feel at home. He pays homage to the local artisans and encourages supporting the locals. He definitely shows you all the ins and outs and the secret local treasures. You'll be lucky if he's your guide.

I am so happy, and fortunate, to have had the good luck of finding Daniel for our first trip to Mexico! We enjoyed him so much on our first day trip to learn about the Guachimontones and visits to Tres Mujeres and Tequila Town that we booked a second tour with him. This time we explored the beautiful towns of Ajijic, Chapala, and Tlaquepaque. He knocked it out of the park again! We had a full day learning all about expat life in Ajijic as we walked through the beautiful town meeting locals, visiting many shops, and exploring this magical space. Daniel was very patient as we stopped and talked to different people along the way, never wanting to hurry or rush us. Next we took the short drive over to Chapala and learned more about the ecosystem of the lake, mountains, and town, as well as some of the history of The Virigin of Zapopan and the relation to Lake Chapala. Our last stop was the beautiful town of Tlaquepaque which had many shops, galleries, and restaurants. If you get the chance, have lunch or dinner at Casa Luna - it was AMAZING. The food and the atmosphere are both *chef's kiss*! If you are looking for tours in English, you cannot go wrong with Daniel. His communication during the booking process was excellent. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel which was very convenient. You can quickly tell he enjoys what he does. He is passionate about the history, culture, and people of Mexico and genuinely loves sharing this information with those in his care. I honestly feel like we've made our first friend in Mexico!!
