Book something else. The guide, George, was amicable. Driver was not smooth on the wheel, brakes or gas. Weak stomachs may need preparation or go elsewhere. Chief gripe: the tour was not as advertised. First, it's not as long as the 5.5 hours in the attached screenshot of the marketing material on Trip Advisor, but we didn't want it any longer than the 4 hours and 15 minutes it required. Terrible stops at the overlook and in the volcano. Plantation visit was OK. No tropical juices. No need for swimsuits as the marketing material said. And none of this (straight from the marketing material on this site): "stop at Roseau Breach to see the banana plantations, and explore the charming fishing villages of Anse-La-Raye and Canaries." Would've been good to stop at the banana plantation or the fishing village. Guide just talked about it as we waved at it passing by. Also, no diamond falls visit as stated in the itinerary on this site. Entirely deceptive. Don't do business with Barefoot Holidays in St Lucia.
Dear Byron, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely appreciate your input, as our goal is always to provide an excellent experience that aligns with what we offer. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. The Magical Soufrière experience includes a visit to the Sulphur Springs at the drive-in volcano, views of two fishing villages, a visit to an island sugar mill plantation, a scenic view of the majestic Pitons, and round-trip transportation. While we aim to provide a smooth and enjoyable ride, we regret that the driving experience was not to your satisfaction and will review this with our team. As for the TripAdvisor images, the first nine photos are official marketing materials from our team, while the remaining images are guest-uploaded photos from various experiences. It’s possible that individuals pictured in swimsuits participating in the mud baths may have been on a different tour but tagged under Magical Soufrière. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.
On this trip you picked up by a van at your hotel and driven to the south side of the island. This was our first visit to St. Lucia and we had no idea how terrible the roads were. We were supposed to be picked up at 9:00 a.m. and our driver arrived at 8:00. No time for breakfast! We then had to go through terrible traffic to pick up people at the port in Castres. This process took 45 minutes before we could begin our tour. George, our guide was very friendly and informative along the way. The problem was it took 2 1/2 hours to arrive at our destination. Stopped for a view of the Pitons, then drove on to spend a brief stop at the open volcano. We saw the mud baths but did not have a chance to use them. Our final stop a plantation. That was the best part of the trip. It was a very interesting tour. By this time it's 1:00. We were not given any time to eat or drink and began our 2 and 1/2 hour journey back to our resort. The the roads are terrible!. We did not return until until 3:30 p.m. both of us very hungry and grumpy from having to spend 5 hours total in the van. I would not recommend this tour. If you want to see the island, take a catamaran!
Professional driver and guide. Seon and Elijah so knowledgeable. The journey from north to south along the west coast through banana plantations and winding roads have us all great knowledge and feel of the islands geography . We came away with lots of information about the island's history flora and fauna geology geography and economy. A really worthwhile experience
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such thorough feedback, It is good to hear that you ha such a positive experience. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon.
William our guide and Tony the driver were the perfect hosts for our tour to see the Pitons. Good team work. We were a small bus of 14 pers who travelled the windy road down the West coast from Rodney Bay. We had such fun with these two. Full of information through stunning scenery, villages, Sulphur Springs and the lovely Morne Coubaril Plantation. Well recommended. Saint Lucia is not just the beach and the lovely blue water.
Ohh Edwina!! :) :) We are so happy you had an amazing time!! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.
Seriously the best island tour we’ve ever done. Seon and Stan were very friendly and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to make our day great! Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

We will make sure that Sammy and Stan receives the recognition they deserve. We appreciate your business. We hope to serve you again soon!
Tour Guide Wane and Driver Tony spent the whole day with us. 14 hard to please family members including two mid 70s parents (one with a broken rib). From giving us multiple opportunities to stay hydrated, stopping at a super market to get snacks and adding addition stops that delayed our return time, these guys were just amazing to be with. They kept us entertained, pointed out landmarks across the island and Wane ran the camera for us at the mud baths when everyone was covered and we had no one to capture the moment for us. We are grateful for the terrific service. Barefoot put together this private tour for us given our number and with mom’s injury, being with a full bud load would have been impossible. This will be a lifetime anchor memory for this trip as our family celebrates my parent’s 50th anniversary. So grateful for such an amazing time with such professional attendees.
Thank you for choosing Barefoot Holidays St. Lucia. We regally appreciate this lovely review. Tony and Wayne are a great team and they love to keep the clients happy. We will show them the review. We are sending regards to your entire family. We look forward to welcoming you in the future.
When you are in St Lucia you must visit Soufriere that is where wonders never sleep Waterfalls, Sulfur Springs, Mud Baths and more see it for your self and you will not regret enjoy Sourfiere at it's best form my heart.
Good day Allrre, We appreciate you taking the time to leave this wonderful review. Soufriere is truly the hub of St. Lucia's natural wonders and we are happy that you got to experience it on our Magical Soufriere Tour. Kind regards.
Enjoyed the trip. Our Driver and guide, Samuel did an excellent job keeping us informed about St. Lucia (and the Canadian connection to the island). The weather didn't entirely cooperate but we tried on different occasions (and stops) to great the great picture of the Pitons but it wasn't met to be on this trip. Andre at the Sugar Plantation did a very good explaining all the parts. The "drive-in volcano" was not quite what were what we were expecting vs what were were envisioning ( a little disappointing).
Thank you for your review. We are happy that you had a wonderful experience and learnt a lot from your knowledgeable guide.
Experience of a lifetime...travelled from Bay Gardens Resort to Windjammers onto catamaran Endless Summer for a day of adventure. The mud springs were wonderful and the waterfall....enjoyed lunch at the cocoa plantation then onto swimming and snorkeling... Mellisse

An absolutely brilliant tour guide, so very knowledgeable. What Samuel doesn't know is not worth knowing about. A real gem of a bloke!
