Prova olika transportsätt, lokala platser och smält in i Calcuttas berättelse precis som en lokal. Denna turné är inte den vanliga arvspromenaden utan en antropologisk upplevelse med staden och dess människor. Syftet med turnén är inte bara för dig att förstå staden utan att bli kär i Calcutta och dess lokala tyg. Turnén genomförs av Soham, grundaren av Calcutta Capsule Walking Tours, som av många anses vara den bästa vandringsspecialisten i världen (ref recensioner). Bland höjdpunkterna på turnén vi besöker: Gamla Calcutta, Howrah Bridge, Blomstermarknad, Ganges/Ganga, Kumartuli - Idolskapande by, Lokal traditionell frukost. Varje morgon, innan solen går upp; När gatlyktorna i Calcutta slocknar börjar vi Magic hour-turen för att se Calcutta Wake up. Vi hoppar på dagens första buss från det äldsta kvarteret i Calcutta när staden går in i den förtrollande Magic Hour. De kommande timmarna slingrar sig genom den sömniga 300-åriga orten i full gas, och de närmaste timmarna ägnas åt att besöka de äldsta områdena i Calcutta. Innan den livliga jättestaden vaknar skulle vi ha använt alla ikoniska transportsätt, ätit frukost på ett hundraårigt gömt ställe, skvallrat om Calcutta som en lokal, pratat om dess historia, antropologi och blivit desperat förälskad i staden. Den "oguidade turen" som vi kallar den börjar med Chai (te) i en bhaad (jordkoppar) och avslutas med traditionell bengalisk frukost, Calcuttas bästa sötsaker. Enjoyed a fantastic “magic hour” tour of Kolkata! One of the highlights of my trip to India!. The tour included both food (chai and separate breakfast) in local venues I never would have found on my own and incorporated local travel modes that also would have been difficult to navigate as a foreigner. Tour was so insightful and thoughtfully laid out. I would highly recommend and would go out of my way to take his other tours when back in Kolkata!!!
This was such an amazing tour! I got to watch the city early in the day, the layers. It was a walking tour mostly but I was also on a bus, a boat and it was such a unique experience with the locals. I loved the food, stories, flower market and learning about the goddess Kali. I highly recommend.

I believe the best time to visit anywhere is in the early morning so I booked this tour for my partner and myself. And here in Kolkata I was right! What an amazing tour. In a tough city to get to the nitty gritty you need a hand and joining Soham on the Magic hour tour was just the hand needed. He has put his heart and soul into this tour and his knowledge and passion about his home city was infectious. With a city like Kalkata you need to scratch deep for its magic once you see it you never forget it. Great tour great city. Get your lazy ass out of bed and book it! Highly recommended. Thanks 🙏🏽
Soham is lovely, do this tour! (Or any of his others!) He is knowledgeable, eloquent and engaging, and the time flew by very enjoyably. He is from Kolkata and obviously loves sharing his passion about it. He will point out things you otherwise wouldn’t notice. It was good to do this trip soon after we arrived to help us get our bearings and ask some general questions. We are very glad we booked it, and we are not early morning people!!!!

What an amazing tour! Thank you Soham for showing the hidden gems of the city (which as tourist I wouldn’t be able to know without the local’s knowledge), he is such a great storyteller that makes the whole experience interesting and fun. I get to try different local transportation and learn the history of Kolkata, it’s truly an unique experience and I highly recommend people who visit the city for the first time to sign up for this tour!
