Kliv in i en skivbolags Ägares situation och gå på gatorna som gav världen Joy Division, The Smiths och Oasis. Denna självguidade pusselpromenad besöker 15 legendariska Manchester musikställen, från Hacienda till Free Trade Hall. Börja i butiken där The Smiths köpte sin utrustning. Stå där Haciendans dansgolv en gång skakade, besök Tony Wilsons lägenhet som dubblerade som Factory Records HQ och hitta var "Love Will Tear Us Apart" spelades in. Lös pussel på Free Trade Hall, där en Sex Pistols spelning 1976 utlöste en musikrevolution. Upptäck puben på toaletten där Elbow skrev låtar, och avsluta på Afflecks Palace där Oasis köpte deras sneakers. Över 2 timmar genom stadens centrum och Northern Quarter, är detta Manchesters mest kompletta musikpromenad, blandar pussel med berättelser om kidnappning, konkurs och en stad som förändrade musiken för alltid. The experience did not happen! Starting address a guitar store. Nobody knew about this tour. Almost 9€ paid for nothing. First this cashes in on the next app to download led. I can see a bit of a rip-off here, because the real music tour only takes place on Saturdays. The guitar shop people were also surprised and irritated when I showed them the tour dates in my phone.
Silvia, sorry for your experience, but we find your review deeply false. First, on the product page we communicate clearly many times that the experience is self-guided, and that you will use an app to explore the city. However, you didn't read this, and are now complaining about it, and calling us a scam. Sorry, but not sorry!
I purchased this for a team building experience, it was enjoyable and great to hear about the music history of Manchester.

The places were interesting and quizes difficult enough, but not too difficult. The plot (story) was not exciting to me. Maybe the idea was good, but the execution lacked some twists or surprises. Also, perhaps the sequence of places could be reversed, because the first place was by far better than all others.

It was a nice walk. Unfortunately, the last question could not be answered. Answer was gone from the wall. We probably thought the walk was a bit long, since the weather was hot and we had time to catch our plane.
Bedankt voor je review van de Musical MADchester Quest. Fijn dat je de wandeling mooi vond! Wat vervelend dat de laatste vraag niet meer beantwoord kon worden doordat het antwoord van de muur was verdwenen – we zorgen dat dit snel wordt hersteld. We nemen je opmerking over de lengte en de hitte mee om de route en timing te verbeteren. Hopelijk heb je ondanks de haast toch genoten, en misschien tot ziens in Manchester!
I really enjoyed this tour! I found out a lot about the best city in the world for music and the tales were fun along the way to find out about the past. Some good pubs along the route as well

Some interesting facts and places visited, some parts not so interesting. A good way to walk around the city. Shame about the rain.

We loved the fun and educational tour - having been to Uni in Manchester in the 90s it was good to visit old haunts for a pint (or two) in our own time. Modern - the pubs arnt but so authentic you ferl like time has stood still. Loved that the tour took us down alleys where there were the vibrant clubs and nightlife and also gave us some building history too - a lot of which I never knew. I enjoyed the vintage area (spent too much money) and walking down the paths of Oasis, Stone Roses, The Smiths etc back in the day. The questions kept us on our toes. The only negative was the GPS was slightly sketchy in places due to the high rise buildings but we got there in the end and its difficult to do much about that. Definitely will do these tours in other places - good fun, engaging and great value for money. Liverpool next 🤔

If you ever wanted to know more about the music scenes in the 80s/90s Manchester, then this is a great game. Even my boyfriend (who is from Manchester) didn't know some of the stops/facts. We made a few stops in bars along the way too.
