I booked tickets to Machu Picchu through Viator. The tour operator that I was working with is Haku Travel. I bought the tickets through Viator because there were no tickets available through the Peruvian government ticket office but they were available through Viator. I was very concerned that I was getting scammed, but I didn't really have another option. In the end, everything was legit and went off without a hitch. I'm completely satisfied with my experience.

I was quite disappointed with the handling of our Machu Picchu entrance tickets. We originally booked a 1:00 p.m. entrance, but four days before our visit, we were suddenly told that they were trying to secure a 9:00 a.m. entrance instead. After that, it was difficult to get clear updates, and we eventually received confirmation that our entrance time would be 10:00 a.m. only the day before our visit. Even then, we were somehow only given tickets showing a 6:00 a.m. entrance time. Despite repeatedly asking for clarification, we did not receive the correct tickets until 10:00 a.m. on the day of our visit. The constant changes and lack of timely communication caused unnecessary stress, especially since this was an important part of our trip. I would have appreciated much clearer communication and more reliable ticket management.

We had an amazing time experiencing Machu Picchu with our group of 10 for the first time! William, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and made the entire experience so much fun while educating us about the rich history and culture of Machu Picchu. He took great care of our group from start to finish and even recommended a fantastic spot for lunch afterward—which was absolutely amazing! We truly had a wonderful experience and highly recommend our friend William to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive guide. Thank you, William, for making our Machu Picchu experience so memorable! 🙌🏾❤️

William was very knowledgeable and made the experience, not only learning one but also fun. He was very thoughtful about the well being of members in the group and moved at our pace. I learnt a lot on this tour and would recommend William who represented Peru well

3B circuit was good to see in the village itself. A smaller version of the lower area. The 2 circuit gave a better overall, and the 1B circuit allows you to see a Birds Eye view of the entire complex. It was worth the time however, as there is so much to see.

I selected a machining circuit at a specific time, got a confirmation, a couple of days later they say it’s not available then provide a “less desirable circuit” option. Since I got my confirmation, I already started booking around it, so was too late for me to change my plans, I had no options (and they know it). Two days before hike they change the time on me, said they were only able to get me the 6am time slot. Not much I can do, but accept. (I also had another booking at machu pichu with a different operator, no issues, got the one I selected at the time and date that I wanted). Do not recommend this operator.

An excellent experience, the guide was friendly and the tour of circuit 3 was well explained, he helped me take spectacular photos, my guide was William and a 10/10 highly recommended 🫡

Didn't get what I paid for, had a ticket from Tripadvisor. Received a message from the supplier that the route was sold out. Had to then use a different route...

What a disappointment!! A once in a lifetime trip ruined by false advertising. I purchased circuit 1a for Machu Picchu. Haku travel wasn't able to provide me with a ticket for the circuit I purchased. When I reached out to them; I was informed there were "guaranteed availability" for that day and circuit for purchase. When they found out I booked online the availability was no longer available. This was a classic bait and switch tactic. If you don't want your trip to Machu Picchu ruined. Don't use this service!!

I bought my tickets to Machu Picchu 3 months in advance for circuit 2, I even contacted Viator to make sure i got circuit 2. 30 days before the trip they contacted me and said that they could only give me circuit 1. I was disappointed and upset. Our guide Edwin was so friendly and full of information. He picked us up at the train station on time, road with us on the bus to Machu Picchu and even helped me walk the slippery steps. He made the trip worth it.
