Machame Route 6 dagar 5 nätter / Kilimanjaro Climb

It’s an incredible experience, some tough parts but with a great team it’s overall amazing. The views at the top was worth the climb up and so cool to see all the different terrains throughout the hike. The only part that could be better is a better tent which to sleep in because our tent leaked when it rained. Otherwise the team with all the guides, cooks and porters were all very friendly and helpful on your journey up the mountain.

The experience was absolutely wonderful! Our guides, the cook, the waiter, and the packers were all amazing, friendly, professional, and truly made the trip special. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. The only downside was the gear we rented: the tents were in poor condition, and the sleeping bags did not meet the standard for -25°C. Everything else was fantastic!

I recently did Kilimanjaro with my husband hosted by Migration Ventures Africa and it was totally awesome. Our crew led by Snr guide Epa, was outstanding, they were friendly and treated us well as they guided us up to the summit and back to Moshi. Their support is the reason we reached the summit safely. They were there of us even during the toughest moments like the summit night when we wanted to give up. The customer service was premium. They covered all the aspects of the climb from the consistency by our chef to deliver great hot meals, comfortable and spacious tent, a portable toilet and keeping us safe at all times. We both reached the summit which is an awesome achievement. If I were to do another Kilimanjaro trek, I would still do it with Migration Venture Africa. They are the best!

It was not only thrilling but also exciting doing Kilimanjaro with an experienced crew. I joined a group of 4 other climbers hosted by Migration Venture Africa under the stewardship of senior guide Epa. The actual experience is not easy because of the cold, tough terrain and low oxygen levels. After Barranco wall it became a battle against the body and soul. Luckily we had an amazing support system that ensured that we were safe, secure and in reasonable comfort. The food provided was excellent. We had three hot meals all prepared by our cook Musa. Generous portions were served for everyone including the crew. Everyone was treated well including the junior crew members. I have to mention the fun of having a great crew with you. Epa and his team taught us a lot about the mountain. They knew when to rest, how hard to push and also shared interesting stories about the mountain as we went up the trail. The views were pretty grand when the cloud cover cleared though it was mostly cloudy and overcast. The toughest section was the summit night when we had to start in darkness. Epa and his team assisted us a lot and were very patient with us. We all reached the summit the following morning and this was only possible because of the excellent support. I am very appreciative of the excellent work done Migration Venture Africa. They are great professionals on Kilimanjaro.

Hiking to the summit of Kilimanjaro in 6 days along the Machame route required great determination, mental and physical endurance, and excellent planning and resources from Amos and his team at Migration Venture Africa. Our three guides – Epa, Justin and Frank, supported the six of us very well. We lacked nothing, there was enough food and water for everyone, great, spacious tents resistant to weather conditions, excellent sleeping mats and sleeping bags, a large dining room with a table and chairs. To effectively support our guides on this journey, which required resupply with fresh supplies, 19 porters, a cook and a waiter were needed. I appreciated the level of planning required to organize this trip, requiring experience and attention to detail as nothing was left out. We all completed our trek and I believe our success is largely due to the excellent support from Migration Venture Africa.

Migration Venture Africa not only organized the most memorable Kilimanjaro trek but also topped the trek with an incredible three day safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. We started off the trip with Kilimanjaro. We were assigned an incredible crew that supported our climb all the way to the summit and descent back to Moshi. We were very impressed by the meticulous organization that had gone into planning the climb. From the pre-climb gear check at our hotel, the detailed briefing on the trek and the actual trek. The course is tough but we were up to the challenge. We are grateful to guide Mustapha, Ferouz his assistant for taking the lead and setting a pace that was comfortable for the three of us. Always professional and attentive about our needs. We enjoyed the lessons about mountain climbing and Kilimanjaro, geology, geography and history..... and so much about Tanzania in general. The service level was really good. They have tried to make the climb as comfortable as it can be. They supplied us with excellent camping gear that even had a portable toilet, water to sponge bathe, hot water bottles and hot meals all through. The safari with guide Temba was was amazing. It was filled with incredible game drives where we saw numerous wild animals, amazing landscapes particularly in Ngorongoro. We enjoyed the nice luxurious properties that we stayed in. I cannot thank Migration Venture Africa enough for organizing such a memorable trek. I highly recommend Migration Venture Africa for Kilimanjaro and Safari!!

Words can’t express how incredible our recent Kilimanjaro trek was. We count ourselves lucky to have chosen Migration Venture Africa to organize our trek because they went all out and did a perfect job. We chose to go with Migration Venture Africa because we saw their rave reviews while we were looking for an operator renown for quality service. Recommendation from our friends had done a trek with them earlier in the year fully convinced us that this was the company to handle our trek. The hiking was tough but unlike anything we have ever done as a couple. It was really tough with fatigue building up from the daily sections, which made the section close to the summit super tough. Our crew really helped us with their encouragement and assisting us every step and they did not give up but ensured that we both reached summit. The fulfilling feeling of standing on the summit was worth all the tears and pain. We are very pleased with the entire crew from Migration Venture Africa for this perfectly organized and executed trek. You exceeded all our expectations.

We just returned home from doing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This is definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done and I am happy that we succeeded in reaching the summit safely. We can attribute our success and fulfillment in this challenging trek to the great work done the entire team from Migration Venture Africa. Preparation and booking Amos was smooth and straight forward. With his information we were able to select the route that was suitable and within our budget. The crew was outstanding, from the moment we met our guides Kim and Renatus, they impressed us with their keen eye for detail as we inspected the gear. These guys are have more than 300 successful climbs between them and as expected they knew their way around the route. They were supported by 7 porters who hauled the food, supplies, tents and the other gear that we needed on the trek. The food was excellently prepared by Chef Musa and he served very generous portions. There was enough to eat for everyone, lots of coffee, water and snacking too. We enjoy the outdoors and it was pleasurable to experience the changing scenery as we moved higher and higher up the mountain. By the third day we had pierced the clouds and it was absolutely beautiful. Kim and Renatus made sure to keep us informed about the various points, their history and the reason behind the names, he also kept close watch on our health. We reached the summit on 30 September and cannot aptly describe the joy of standing at the summit. We had done what seemed to be impossible! If you are looking for an excellent Kilimanjaro trekking experience we highly recommend Migration Venture Africa. They are really good.

It was great to be back in Tanzania amongst our friends from Migration Venture Africa. We booked the Kilimanjaro trek, which was easy as we were repeat guests. Amos patiently helped us in selecting a route, advised on the best preparatory training schedule to be in the best shape for the attempt. The actual trek is a journey that will be etched in mind for a long time. We started off with our guides Joseph and Chepa and the other crew that consisted of porters, chef and waiter. The route is very scenic, though quite challenging because of the terrain and we took a shorter time to reach the summit. It was all free climbing, just putting one foot a head of the other however it got difficult the higher we went. The low oxygen and the cold at the high altitude gets you. That's point where one appreciates having an excellent crew supporting them, because there were many times when I wanted to turn back. Encouragement and advice from Joseph and Chepa played a huge part in our successful summit attempt. Because we could not have found our way in dark on the summit night. We were very happy to have chosen Migration Venture Africa because they did not compromise our safety and comfort at any time. The tents were spacious and sturdy, sleeping bags warm and clean. Our chef made us very delicious meals and also ensured that we were well hydrated. There were regular health checks to check our vitals in the morning and evenings. When I compare the quality of support that we had with that of the other climbers I can say that we had the premier treatment. I am very grateful to Amos and the other members of his team for a job well done.

The tour was perfect. Staff was all so professional and great but also fun. This is a great company to use to get you to summit Kili.
