Marienplatz: Hjärtat av München. Precis här, i stadens pulserande puls, står Marienplatz. Detta historiska torg har varit Münchens centrala knutpunkt i århundraden, känt för sitt fantastiska nya rådhus med den ikoniska Glockenspiel och livliga atmosfär. Det är den perfekta utgångspunkten för vår utforskning av denna otroliga stad! Vi har vår korta intro här innan vi börjar cykelturen.

The Platzl: Hem för Münchens hjärtslag. Detta charmiga, historiska torg är i huvudsak födelseplatsen för Münchens legendariska ölkultur! Det är känt hem för den världsberömda Hofbräuhaus, och dess kullerstensgator kantas av traditionella bayerska byggnader. Platzl fångar perfekt essensen av gamla München, vilket gör det till en livlig och autentisk stop.e

Residenz, ett magnifikt byggnadskomplex i München, var en gång kungligt palats för Wittelsbachmonarkerna av Bayern. Detta vidsträckta palats rymmer över 130 rum, inklusive den fantastiska Cuvilliésteatern och den historiska Herkulessalen. Residenz är ett bevis på Bayerns historia och arkitektoniska prakt, som erbjuder besökarna en inblick i den överdådiga livsstilen hos kungafamiljen. Vi rider genom innergårdarna men går inte in. Vi stannar här ett tag för att förklara historien som ägde rum här under många århundraden och ger också våra gäster möjlighet att se St. Kajetan-kyrkan från insidan.

Vi stannar för en traditionell lunch under det kinesiska tornet. Detta är en maträtt med självbetjäning som också har vegetariska alternativ så att alla kan äta vad de vill. Priset för lunch är inte inkluderat i turnépriset.
Vi gör en naturskön tur längs Isar - anledningen till att många av lokalbefolkningen bor här eftersom detta är vår "Strand" på sommaren.
Vi har ett snabbt stopp här på andra sidan floden Isar innan vi fortsätter längs floden till nästa stopp.
Vi avslutar vår tur nära detta S-Bahn-stopp.
Maximilianeum, en storslagen nyrenässansbyggnad, beställdes av kung Maximilian II av Bayern 1857. Designad av Friedrich Bürklein, fungerade det ursprungligen som en utbildningsinstitution för begåvade studenter. Maximilianeum ligger vid floden Isar och är ett slående landmärke på Maximilianstrasse, en berömd boulevard kantad av nygotiska palats. Vi stannar här för en snabb fotografering. Även om byggandet försenades stod byggnaden slutligen klar 1874 och har sedan dess genomgått renoveringar, särskilt efter andra världskriget.

A fun way to see Munich and get some history, Chloe was an amazing guide and made it a fun trip
This was really fun! It was a great way to see the city. Adults and children all enjoyed it. Our tour guide Kyle was great.
We had so much fun! Tim was our guide, and he was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour. Regardless of your condition, if you can ride a bike, you can do this tour with ease. It was fun and informative - great way to see Munich. You should do it!

Really great tour with Scott! This tour was the perfect way to see Munich. We hit all the spots that I was hoping to see and more. Scott did a great job keeping us all together and making us feel like a team. They sell water, sunscreen, and ponchos in the shop before taking off on the tour. It's not a hard bike ride, but it was tricky to navigate through pedestrians, faster bike riders, and cars. Overall, this was a highlight!

Definitely get to see and cover more on a bike tour. Great intro. to Munich. Mike's friendly, professional staff are amazing. I got totally lost and was very late. So grateful to the office lady who kindly turned my diaster into a very positive experience. She organised a staff member to lead me to the tour that was already underway. Bob, tour leader, was welcoming & very infomative regarding Munich's past/present history. We were quite a large group, Bob taught bike lane protocol, crossing safety & guided us well along bike lanes & streets. Glad to have been able to do this excursion with Mikes Bike tours. Well worth doing!

We cycled through Munich and the English Garden with guide Dave. Explained well and with variety, always stopped in the shade, always waited until everyone was there. It was my best tour through Munich so far.

Highly recommend beginning your journey in Germany with this tour. I was a little worried biking with my family in a foreign city but since there is a guide in front of the pack as well as behind the end of the pack, I felt a little more reassured. Our guide Kyle was very kind and even gave great tips for our stay while in Germany. The German train system can be extremely confusing and costly (especially if you don’t speak German) and he gave us some great tips that saved us a lot of money. Really appreciate the good people who work here. After our trip everyone agreed this was the best thing that we did while in Munich.

We loved this tour! My 12yo and 7.5yo both rode their own bikes. Our guide, Scott, did a great job keeping everyone together and keeping everyone safe through busy streets. His explanation of procedures and recommendations for food when we got to the beer garden was super clear and helpful. He had a good sense of humor and offered a solid amount of historical information at each stop. Highly recommend!
