Zoie was friendly and knowledgeable. Whether local knowledge about Lucerne, family farming, or cheese, she was able to answer our questions and teach us a little about the process to get cheese from pasture to table. Big plus were the views … 20 minutes out of town, up a cogwheel train, we were overlooking Lake Zurich and feeling like we were in WNC. Wonderful tour!

Michael was the best tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable about the area! It was so helpful to have someone local to show us the ropes and handle all the logistics while we got to pet cows and eat delicious cheese. Definitely book if you want to experience what it’s like outside the main city, you won’t regret it!

We came to Lucerne with very few plans and began researching upon arrival. We found this tour online and booked immediately. It exceeded our expectations. Joana Lisa was a fabulous host. Zoie met us and immediately took charge of our welfare. She was very knowledgeable of not only Swiss history but of the workings and impact of the small Swiss farm. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at a working farm and felt like we were in the country, even though it wasn’t very far from Lucerne. We had a picnic of Swiss cheeses and fruit, which we took back with us and enjoyed the following day. Zoie made the day a real experience that will be a treasured Lucerne memory.

It was a wonderful afternoon, especially because the weather held up nicely while we were out. It’s amazing to see the beauty and experience the care taken by the local farmers. Michael and Sandy were our guides, and they were extra friendly and knowledgeable, even sharing tips beyond our specific day trip scope.

This was a perfect leisure day activity in the countryside with a fresh, relaxed picnic at the farm! Highly recommend also trying the yogurt in additions to the cheese, fruit, milk and apple juice. Melanie was great! We finished a little early due the threat of weather and she even offered to give us a small tour one we made it back to Lucerne to make up for the extra, lost time.
