LOUVRE & ORSAY PRIVATE TOUR - Local Expert Guide

We added the Renoir exhibit to our tour. I was a little worried that it would be too much time on our feet. It wasn’t. Lucien made sure to find seats on a regular basis. His guided tour was excellent. We learned and experienced in the best way. Worth every euro.

Amazing tour of both museums. Diona was such a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. She maneuvered us seamlessly through the Louve and Orsay to see so many important works of art. More importantly, she gave us a better understanding of the artworks and the history behind them. We were left with a much deeper appreciation and knowledge.

WOW!! Such a small word for such an awesome experience with My Private Paris! From booking with Alex, to our excellent chauffeurs (Phillip - you are AMAZING) everything was wonderful. We had a few "needs" when we booked, as my husband has mobility issues and uses an electric wheelchair even for going short distances. The guides and chauffeurs went above and beyond to map out routes for accessibility and elevators (lifts) to loading and unloading his chair each and every time we stopped. They were always accommodating and friendly - even when we were hot and tired!! With their help we were able to see everything we wanted to see, attend a show at Moulin Rouge, and even enjoyed a wonderful (and private!) Seine River Cruise!! A HUGE THANK YOU to Alex (who coordinated everything - including train and airport transfers); Dina (guide to the Louvre); Elliot (guide to Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle and Montmartre); Jean (guide to Versailles); Olek (guide to Orsay and the Orangerie); Daina (guide to Giverny and Monet's house and gardens); and Marie (our private shopping tour guide) - all of them were wonderful, helpful and so kind! If we ever find our way back to Paris - My Private Paris is the ONLY WAY WE WOULD GO!! Thank you again for a memory filled trip!!

We skipped the huge line outside and went right in through the side entrance. Our guide was very knowledgeable, knew the Louvre and the history extremely well. She took us directly to all the main attractions and gave us the background to everything. Very efficient and informative. Would absolutely recommend!

Our guide, Soline, was very knowledgeable about the art pieces and lead us around the museums very efficiently. The tour was great and the customer service was very responsive. The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 was that this was the only tour (one of six all booked through Viator) that I received a spam SMS message. The fraudster claimed that I needed to click a link to buy the tickets to the second museum. When I replied that the tickets were already purchased the fraudster continued to insist that they were not. The customer service through Viator “contact the operator” was super fast to confirm that this was fraudulent but was still a bit unnerving that we had to deal with this. Also odd that this was the only tour to have this issue.

Soline was an amazing guide! So knowledgeable and also responded to what our interests are. Would highly recommend!

Valentine was wonderful. She gave us a great museum day tailored specifically to us. It was obvious she had spend valuable time preparing for us to make the day perfect. She found a statue for us and helped my wife recreate a photo of her mother from decades ago. I will always remember and appreciate that.

Great tour and tour guide. Although, two museums in one day was ambitious it worked for our schedule. Bonus was having lunch in the beautiful Orsay restaurant after our tour. Bon Appétit!

Lucien was an absolute gem today! He not only spoke excellent English but captured the importance of each piece, plus put it into both an historical and art history framework. Whether speaking about the ancient pieces of art or the 19th century’s French and European Artists, he spoke with knowledge and passion about art, the museum, Paris, and France. He was able to weave the artwork into period politics and culture. Fascinating presentations! Lucien was courteous to other museum visitors and a wonderful listener to our wants and questions. Superb use of our time today. We wouldn’t hesitate to ask for him again. Merci beaucoup!
