Slagfältet Long Tan Nui Dat är det mest kända slaget som utkämpades av den australiensiska armén under Vietnamkriget. Denna strid ägde rum i en gummiplantage. Den 18 augusti 2016 hölls en lågmäld ceremoni på platsen för striden; mer än 1 000 australiska veteraner och deras familjer reste till Vietnam för att delta i 50-årsjubileet. Turnén börjar med en avgång till Ba Ria - Vung Tau-provinsen med minivan. Den lokala guiden tar dig till platsen för Long Tan Battlefield där du kommer att besöka den tidigare 1:a australiska arbetsgruppen vid Nui Dat.
Vår första stopp är Nui Dat SAS Hill, där du kommer att se helikopterparkering och campingområden för soldater och förklara de viktiga platserna under kriget. Du kommer att ha en översikt över den 4 km långa cirkeln av Nui Dats basomkrets. Därefter besöker vi gummiskogen och passerar Mong Ngua-berget – som brukade vara skydd för vietnamesiska soldater.
Efteråt fortsätter vi förflyttningen till Long Tan Cross Memorial för att fira de australiensiska och vietnamesiska soldaterna som offrade sina liv under kriget
sedan långa Phuoc-tunnlar grävde av Viet Minh och Viet Cong för strid och skydd. Long Phuoc Tunnels är vårt sista stopp på en halvdagstur till Long Tan Nui Dat slagfält.

Colbie Kim is a great tour guide, she takes care us really well. The memorials long tan was incredible.
An excellent and informative tour. Chris was a fantastic guide who brought the history to life through his personal experiences of being stationed in the area. We appreciated visiting both Australian and Vietnamese memorials and gained a much deeper understanding of the region’s history. Highly recommended, and it’s great to support an organization doing valuable work for people in need in the Vung Tau area.
Jack did an awesome job showing my partner and I where my dad served with old photos of what was there all those years ago. He explained vietnams turbulent history perfectly. We stopped and had donuts at a roadside market and he purchased flowers for the Long Tan memorial. We then visited the tunnels where the caretakers dad was a local Viet Cong fighter. Afterwards we had a pho at a local restaurant which was delicious. Would highly recommend this tour.
If you’re Australian visiting Vietnam you need to book this tour especially if you have an interest in history. Amazing insight into local history and culture, so much packed into a day trip out of HCMC.

Right from the start Kim’s bubbly and warm persona shines through. Here attention to detail was amazing. She is very knowledgeable fun and easy going with a very good grasp of the English language. The addition of carefully selected music ( including odes and last post) and photographs made for a very emotional tour to see where my father served. It was fantastic to see both sides of the stories. I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable in all aspects of this battle and walked us through the locations with respect and dignity. We were taken to some less touristy tunnels and had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Very heartfelt tour with flowers provided for us to lay at the cross.
