Grasse är en stor stad i mittlandet av Côte d'Azur belägen i västra delen av departementet Alpes-Maritimes, 12 km norr om Cannes vid Medelhavskusten. Grasse är världens huvudstad för parfym och ersätter Montpellier vars farmacifakultet var källan till skapandet av salvor och parfymer. Etablerat sedan 1926 i denna magnifika fabrik, ett garveri på 1700-talet, blev det en parfymfabrik i början av det följande seklet. Helt renoverad och förbättrad 2013, erbjuder den en originell resa för att upptäcka mysterierna med traditionell parfym, från bearbetning av råvaror till förpackning av färdiga produkter. Maskinerna som används, från koppardestillationsapparater till de i tvålverkstäder, erbjuder historiskt, socialt och kulturellt intresse för tekniker och arbetsförhållanden som styrde familjeparfymerier fram till 1950-talet.

Wine, perfume, and fairytale French villages? Say less! 🍷🌸 If you are staying in Nice, you have to book this. It takes you away from the usual tourist spots and deep into the gorgeous Provencal lifestyle. My camera roll is completely full. 10/10 recommendation!

Grasse was a lovely stop where we learned about perfume making. The medieval villages were our favorite part—so quiet, historic, and full of flowers. To finish the day, the local wine tasting was excellent. The wine was high quality and the atmosphere was very peaceful.

Amazing tour begining go end. Billie is a proud local and her love and passion for the region made the tour really special. She's also a very fun person and it felt like you were being shown around by a friend. We especially enjoyed the vineyard tour which was unique and unlike any I had taken before. We also had the best meal of our stay in Gourdon which Billie had reserved in advance. She also provided great recommendations which made our stay better beyond the tour itself. Do yourself a favor and take this tour. If we had longer we would have booked addition tours with Billie and will be recommending it to all our friends and hope to also take ourselves next time we're in the area.

Billie provided my daughter and I with a wonderful trip to Grasse, Gourdon, and a lovely organic, family-owned winery. The region is beautiful, and Billie curated a fantastic experience for us: we had a great day enjoying the sights, scents, tastes, and tactile goods of Southern France. We also loved the balance of learning about the region from Billie and spending some alone-time to explore. I highly recommend this experience!
