Living Green Elephant Sanctuary Tour från Bangkok och Pattaya

A REAL sanctuary. This is what i love to see, animals being animals, the freedom to do what they want without being told what to do, The experience was amazing, my driver was on time, the introduction was humorous, the staff was patient & willing to answer any questions while making sure to take the best pictures. We got to explore the sanctuary and see where these lovely elephants get to live Freely. An amazing experience overall.

I went on this trip as a 23 year old solo female and felt so safe and welcomed by the guides, it was an absolutely amazing experience and I would recommend to anyone travelling solo or with family. You also get to swim with the elephants which was incredible!! It’s clear that the elephants are taken very well care of!! The visit was around 3 hours long and it was definitely worth the cost of the trip and more!

This was an incredible experience! Imagine being wisked to the jungle and seeing elephants in their own peaceful sanctuary! Upon departing the tour van, you are cheerfully greeted by staff who introduce you to each elephant by name and share a bit about each elephant’s history and personality! You will be taught how to safely and kindly interact with these amazing creatures. Next, you will feed them mini bananas and sugarcane, followed by a walk in their sanctuary to meet the other elephants who are eating and playing with grass. Some knock coconuts out of the trees for an extra special treat. After that, join them in the shallow watering hole for some gentle water play. A delicious lunch is prepared by locals. What could be better! Your tour cost and visit helps keep the sanctuary going! Worth a journey outside the busy city of Bangkok!

Visiting the second site for Living Green Elephant Sanctuary. an hour or so outside of Bangkok, was a very special day. What a privilege it was to get up close to these majestic creatures, to share in their stories, feed them, observe them play and even bathe them on a sunny day. And all under the watchful eye of Jumbo, Mod and all the keepers who made sure we not only had safe and respectful interactions with the animals and were open to questions but also made us laugh out loud! They all clearly have a connection with the animals and were keen to encourage everyone to support such places where elephants can be elephants, not ridden or transporting or used for human entertainment. The elephants including the youngest boy, Charlie, had space to roam, food a plenty, privacy and human servants! Literally like a 5* elephant resort!. Wouid recommend and actually go again when I’m back with friends and family.

I don’t usually leave reviews for anything, but this was such an incredible experience. The animals looked so well taken care of and happy, and the staff were informative and respectful. Lunch was excellent. We had an incredible time feeding the animals and had so many amazing moments! Would go back in a heartbeat, despite the drive from the city!

It was an amazing experience🤩. I commend the men and women who take care of the elephants and their inhabitant🤩. We need more human beings like these people and the organization🙏🏿. The environment was beautiful. I highly recommend anyone who is coming to Bangkok and who is concerned with our environment and its inhabitants to visit this beautiful place of paradise, calmness and most importantly, communing with the fabulous elephants🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🤩🙏🏿⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was certainly an unforgettable and highly enjoyable experience for lovers of animals and nature, and especially elephants. It was a wonderful and much needed break from all the tours of temples during our trip to Bangkok. This particular sanctuary is quite new (1-2 years) and located between Bangkok and Pattaya (I think closer to Pattaya) but the activity is an all-day trip starting at around 11 am from Bangkok with a return between 7-8 pm. Thankfully, the bus was air-conditioned, clean, and comfortable for the drive from Bangkok (about 2 hours each way). When you arrive, you are greeted by enthusiastic, friendly, and very knowledgeable camp guides (fantastic Mod and Jackie were our group's primary guides). The many guides closely supervise your interactions with the elephants for your safety. Most importantly, all the guides genuinely care for and have positive personal relationships with the 8 elephants in this sanctuary (7 female and 1 "baby" boy, Charlie). After a hearty and delicious lunch of freshly prepared Pad Thai with watermelon and iced bottled water, you are educated about the elephants' lives and how to feed and interact with them safely. Later, after a final short trek (best to bring closed toe shoes) around the sanctuary (which itself currently spans more than 60 acres), you then have the option to splash and play with the elephants in their watering hole (if you wish to participate, remember to bring your swimwear and change of clothes- there are outdoor showers available for use). If you are visiting Bangkok, I do highly recommend the Living Green Elephant Sanctuary if you enjoy nature and interacting with these magnificent and intriguing creatures. It's certain to be a wonderful, memorable trip and change from other more typical tourist activities in Thailand.
