Upplev Colosseum i Rom innan du går på Forum Romanums gator i senatorernas och kejsarnas fotspår. Efter att ha träffat resten av din grupp och din expertvänliga guide, kommer du att gå till ingången när du lär dig om arkitekturen på stadion. Väl inne kommer du att lära dig allt om gladiatorernas fantastiska liv och de många olika (och dödliga) vapen de använde, allt medan du njuter av de otroliga vyerna från de bästa utsiktspunkterna i arenan. Vi kommer sedan att gå runt i den kolossala strukturen där gamla romare brukade heja på sina hjältar, spela och förundras över de exotiska djuren från alla delar av det enorma romerska riket.
Efter att ha gått runt inne i byggnaden, sett den från dess många olika och vackra vinklar, börjar turen en kort promenad mot Forum Romanum. Forumet var hjärtat och själen i den antika staden med många av dess viktigaste tempel och politiska byggnader, och även om de flesta ligger i ruiner är det fortfarande en av de visuellt mest imponerande arkeologiska parkerna i världen. I denna otroliga promenad genom historien kommer turnén att helt utforska de viktigaste och mest spektakulära platserna. När de går in i närheten av Senatshuset fortsätter gruppen förbi lagdomstolarna, triumfbågar och vackra tempel, inklusive Julius Caesars berömda tempel där hans aska lades till vila.
Vi fortsätter turen genom att klättra uppför de mjuka sluttningarna av Palatinerkullen där rika romare bodde i sina lyxvillor, medan de väntades på hand och fot. Under paraplytallarna, som sprider landskapet, kommer vi att utforska kejsarnas palats, hem för de mäktigaste människorna i den antika världen. Du kommer att lära dig mer om livet för dessa stora (och ibland ganska galna) män, besöka de ståtliga matsalarna och fridfulla trädgårdarna, få en uppfattning om den otroliga lyx som de skulle ha levt i. Det sista stoppet på vår turné är Domitianus hippodrome , fäst vid det kejserliga palatset, där gruppen kan sola sig i den omgivande utsikten och känna de tusentals år av historia och förändring som denna unika stad har genomgått.

Angela was a wonderful knowledgeable guide who effortlessly led us through crowds and made it seem way less crowded than it was. She made the three hour tour fun and enjoyable for our two kids (10yo and 12yo). She is an art history buff who taught us all a lot! Would definitely recommend.

This was an excellent & informative tour with a knowledgable guide with clear passion of history. He was attentive to all in our group (this was our kids and one other family). Many aspects would have certainly been missed / unappreciated had we gone without a guide. Would recommend without hesitation.

Wonderful tour of the Colluseum and the forum and ancient Rome. The guide has lived in Rome since 1996 and studied history there and knew a lot to tell. At the Roma vacations office we asked about real Italian restaurants in the area instead of those fake tourist businesses where no Italian works. We got a good tip and had a great meal.

Highly Recommend! We chose the small group tour and were lucky enough to be the only 3. Angela was a fantastic tour and so knowledgable about her Roman history. She knew how to keep us engaged and interested. The tour took us through the Colosseum and we saw everything without feeling like we missed out not getting the special tickets for arena or underground/attic. Even though the Colosseum was absolutely fascinating, we learned so much more walking through the forum. I was in so much awe taking in all of the history that I even researched more later that night because there was just so much info to take in. We had a really great time!
