The guide didn’t speak English. We mostly communicated through Google translator. He was a local, but I didn’t understand context most of the time when he did use the translator app. I couldn’t tell if he had to be there because another guide called out or something. The tour should have been cancelled then. He shouldn’t lead an English speaking tour if he can’t speak English. Food was really tasty though.

We had the best time with our food tour walking through the markets and learning about the food and customs of Padova. Catia is the best and friendliest guide I have ever had on my tours. You should book any tour with her and it will be the best time with great cultural exchange!!!!
I booked David’s small-group street food tour in Padua… and ended up with the smallest group imaginable: just me and David! At times, it felt less like a tour and more like a language-learning exchange, which turned out to be a lot of fun. The food itself was tasty and varied, and David clearly knows his stuff, both about Padua’s culinary scene and the history behind it. He’s also unfailingly kind and patient (he even laughed at my attempts to pronounce Italian dishes correctly, which is generosity of spirit in itself). If you’re looking for something relaxed, personal, and genuinely local, this tour is a great choice!
Katia is a local chef and passionate about food from her region. Unfortunately, we did the tour in the morning and not many shops were not open, which is the reason for our rating. She did give us good insight about the best spots in the market, and places to go for local cuisine in the city.

The tour was very interesting and Davide put a lot of effort into it. It was his first walking tour, as he normally gives cooking classes. We communicated using English, Italian, French and Google Translate and learned a few facts about Padua and a lot about the local cuisine. The market halls are exciting and we had a variety of opportunities to get to know and try Padua's specialties.
Walking through Padova with 2 kind men, eating some cake, drink a aperol spritz with a small sandwich and drink a coffee is not a food tour. And sertainly not worth the 180 euro’s we paid.

I absolutely loved this tour! Catia is so passionate about her beloved Padua that she brings its food and history to life. I took this tour on the day I arrived and it was a great way to get familiar with the city, it’s markets and some street food! But it’s so much more than a food tour! Highly recommend!
