Den här Lissabonvandringsturen tar dig genom Lissabons ursprung, bakom stadsmuren och inom Alfama-distriktet - en 2 till 3 timmars vandringstur. Vi börjar med fenicierna, som kallade det "tyst vik", följt av romarna - de första stora bosättarna - till araberna, som formade gamla stadens gränder. Geografi och klimat i Lissabon var den största frestelsen för alla samhällen som bosatte sig här. Detta är fortfarande fallet för tillfället. Det gamla distriktet Alfama, som sitter på kullen mot floden, uppvisar fortfarande starka referenser till maritima aktiviteter, från fiske till frakthantering, som en gång låg ovanpå arbetsmarknadslistan. Today we had Jose tour us around Lisbon and it was just great! He was great! Funny, knowledgeable and just super family friendly. Kept us in the shade and kept us safe while navigating the streets. Couldn’t recommend it more.
Excellent tour. This was a nice complement to the Lisbon Revelation tour we had done the day before. Hugo gave us insights into the many cultures that compose the foundations of Lisbon. We saw many examples of the architectural remains of those earlier residents. Thank you, Hugo.
We met Pedro on a Sunday morning for a tour of Alfama. Pedro is passionate & animated about his home city & provided us with an excellent tour!
After a few wonderful days,we had to say farewell to the Centre of beautiful Lisboa The last day we visited the highlights of the Centre. Busy,but with a nice atmosphere
I highly recommend taking two tours, the Revelation Tour and Lisbon Old Town tour. The neighborhoods you will visit on the two tours are very different from each other and you will have a better understanding of Lisbon is you do both tours rather than just one tour. We had Jose as our tour guide for both tours. Our family agreed that Jose was an exceptional guide. He was knowledgeable of Lisbon’s history, did a great job explaining each stop on the tour, and kept us moving at a pace that was comfortable for all attendees. He had a wonderful personality and kept us entertained with non-offensive jokes and anecdotes. I also appreciated that he kept us in the shade as much as possible (it was very hot outside) and answered all of our questions.
Lisbon is a buzzing, Lively, amazing town! I can admit: 'Portugal is underestimated and underrated'! No doubt. You can have a full week, outdoors, walking and visiting Lisbon, and you'll still not be able to see it all! It is alive. Colourful. Fantastic. With narrow street, full of tiny boutiques and local bars, or wide boulevards, with fancy restaurants, Lisbon is outstanding! Oh, and not forget about million of stairs to go up or down, everywhere! If you wish to reach 30.000 steps a day, that is easy and Lisbon is your place. The views from above, or below, are unbelievable! Recommend, Recommend, Recommend!

We had a wonderful tour with José, our group was small (just 4 people) and José was smart, funny, engaging, and provided a wonderful introduction to Lisbon. I would highly recommend booking this tour on your first day in Lisbon to help you get acclimated to the city and get some recommendations from José.
