Jag får dig att upptäcka Lissabons omgivningar, magnifika, autentiska och fortfarande bevarade platser som är svåra att komma åt när du inte transporteras. Oavsett om du är ett fan av klassiska bilar, nostalgisk för 60- och 70-talen eller bara nyfiken på att upptäcka denna mytomspunna skåpbil, försäkrar jag dig en stund av gemytlighet och fantastiska upptäckter. Resplaner planeras för dagen för att promenera längs kusterna i Cascais eller Sintra. Andra rutter tar dig till Serra d'Arrabida eller till och med Setubal. 2 timmars ledig tid planerad i Cascais. En före detta fiskestad, förvandlades den av den portugisiska adeln till en sommarort med sina överdådiga villor och extravaganta platser. Cascais är en mycket charmig liten stad där du kan njuta av vackra stränder, parker och livliga små gator.
La Casa da Guia är för närvarande en referens i Cascais kommun och har blivit en riktig mötesplats med familj eller vänner, tack vare ett unikt och annorlunda koncept för handel, kultur och fritid. Vid avfarten från Cascais, på vägen till Guincho, ligger Casa da Guia i en herrgård från 1800-talet, totalt rehabiliterad av arkitekten Cláudio Wanderley, omgiven av två hektar trädgårdar uppe på klippan, som sträcker sig till Guias fyr och fyren. dominerar Atlantens ofantlighet. Inuti upptäcker vi ett innovativt kommersiellt koncept med olika butiker och ett konstgalleri. Utanför finns ett utmärkt område för restauranger, handel, kultur och fritid, där restauranger, terrasser och en amfiteater är perfekta utsiktsplatser för att njuta av en magnifik utsikt över havet.
Cabo da Roca är en vild udde som ligger på den västligaste punkten av kontinentala Europa. Denna plats som består av klippor som hamrades av vindar och torra länder ansågs en gång (fram till 1300-talet) som världens ände. Det är den idealiska platsen för människor som uppskattar naturen, med på ena sidan vattenytan som verkar oändlig och på den andra bergen i naturparken Sintra-Cascais.
Denna "helvetes mun" är en klyfta som har förvånat och skrämt besökarna sedan de tidigaste tiderna. Havet har, till följd av ofta våldsamma kommande och gångar, grävt klippan och bildar en "käke av sten" i vilken en helvetens soppa bubblar.
Magnifik strand i det spektakulära landskapet i Serra de Sintra-kullarna. Den är alltid utsatt för starka vindar och är känd för sina enorma vågor, både sommar och vinter. Det är därför ett paradis för erfarna surfare. I södra änden av stranden ligger det gulmålade fortet Fortaleza do Guincho, som har förvandlats till ett 5* hotell med sin utomhuspool byggd kring ett gammalt fort.

Awesome day traveling the coast just outside Lisbon. Loved touring in the VW van. Antonio did a great job taking us to the sights & giving us plenty of time at each stop.

This was the best part of our trip to Portugal. This day didn’t feel like you were on a tour. It was more like riding around with family and friends, singing great music and catching all the cool sights along the way. Also, we had the best meal of our entire trip for lunch at Azenhas do Mar. What a wonderful experience we had with this tour and although we did not get a chance to visit Sintra and the other Castles because of unforeseen circumstances, we did get a chance to go other sites that we would otherwise not have been able to. My hats off to Christiano for this unforgettable trip to the coastline and the city of Cascais, he took his time to explain in detail all the places we visited. He also recommended local restaurants for us while in Lisbon and his wife Laura kept in touch with me even before we got here to make sure everything was fine. Fun day with lovely and knowledgeable guide and driver. The VW bus is super cool! When we moved quickly through regular stops being fast-paced New Yorkers they offered to add another location to visit.

Cristiano was an amazing guide for the day! He was on time, very polite and a friend to talk with and ask questions all day. He provided the schedule for the day and asked if we wanted any modifications. This is the perfect tour to visit the coastal towns and sites near Lisbon. At each stop he provided us with history about the stop and allowed time to explore, take pictures and enjoy each experience. Our lunch stop came with an amazing ocean view and the food was outstanding (order the grilled octopus). Make sure you ask him about the history of the van as it has a very fascinating story. He loves what he is doing, is very knowledgeable about Portugal and you will not be disappointed in your experience. We highly recommend this tour as we feel like we have a new friend in Portugal.

Everything was perfect from the pick up to the drop off. Laura and Christian were AMAZING. Super knowledgable, friendly and we enjoyed their fabulous VW van. We were picked up on time at the hotel in this fully restored bus and drove comfortably along small roads to Sintra. Our two supervisors told us a lot about the city and Sintra. From Sintra we went to the coast to a fantastic fish restaurant with a great view. Then along the coast to the westernmost point of Europe, then to a hellish gorge and finally back to Lisbon via the coastal road. The trip in the old bus is great fun, people often speak to you and wave at you. We can only recommend the trip!
