Very nice driver from Reykjavik and friendly, knowledgeable guides on site at the lava tunnel. The journey took 40 minutes each way, and the tour through the tunnel took about 45 minutes. Afterward, you could explore "on your own" for another 15 minutes. The price-performance ratio could be better, considering that you pay this amount for half an afternoon.
Easy bus pickup for transfer to the minibus going to the lava tunnel. A very interesting trip with an informative guide.

There was a mix-up on the reservation. We arrived for the tour 2 days earlier and went then. However, we were charged for that tour PLUS the booking 2 days later. The agent at the desk said we would be charged only once, but that's not what happened.
Very informative tour great guide
The tour is short but very interesting and the guide was great. It’s a four star based on value. You are paying $120 for a 2 hour bus ride and 1 hour tour. All the passenger drop offs on the way back made for a very long bus ride. We didn’t have a rental so this was our only option.
An exceptional great tour with a very good guide, who in addition to providing a good tour and a lot of information, also had a sense of humor. He was also helpful, when my headlamp stopped working I got his headlamp. A nice experience that is highly recommended.
The tour was an hour to see the lava tunnel and the pictures were worth it. It's kinda cool to see the colors of inside the cave. And it can be done in 3 hours and change. I booked this the day before at night because of changed plans. I almost didn't get to go because it was fully booked but some folks canceled/didn't show. You get a helmet and you can borrow hiking poles. It's several uneven steps. Highly recommend for a few hours.
Fascinating look at the inside of a lava cave. More steps than we expected. More uneven stone walkways. So be careful with balance.
The tour was fun, informative and very interesting. The guide was so very funny which was an added bonus. The transportation was on time and comfortable.
