Turen kommer att passera de autentiska smala gatorna och hörnen av Lamu. Du kommer att kunna njuta av Lamu havet, träsniderier av olika dörrar, massor av hus gjorda med koraller. Du kommer att få lära dig om historia, swahilikultur och musik, träsnideri, silversmide, vågstickning och massor av andra lokala produkter med en professionell guide som talar flytande engelska. Fördjupa dig i en stad som har en blandning av kulturer. Guiden kommer också att rekommendera lokala ställen att äta lokal mat, swahili-köket och till och med ställen att bo på. Och även roliga aktiviteter för att komplettera din tid i Lamu, som seglingsturer, fisketurer, hur man går till Takwa-ruinerna, etc. Några av de besökta attraktionerna är: Lamu Market, Lamu Town Square, Lamu Fort, Lamu Museum, Donkey Sanctuary, Lamu seafront, vävning, silversmide och träsnideri lokala arbetande butiker och mycket mer.

Kommer att träffa dig på din mötesplats för att ta dig runt i Lamu gamla stan, där du får en chans att se Lamu-museet, Lamu Fort, Lamu-marknaden, träsnideributiker, silversmedsbutiker, tyskt postkontor, Swahili-husmuseum med unika arkitektur, Lamu-marknaden och naturligtvis åsnreservatet. Du kommer också att få en chans att njuta av den traditionella swahilimusiken, Lamu vid havet och många vackra gator med koraller och träsniderier.
Du kommer att ha chansen att se museet som tjänar till kolonier, det första var Oman kungen och på den tiden var det ett palats för kungen, sedan efter att under britternas tid när britterna tog över användes det sedan som deras högkvarter som är Imperial British East African Company och senare omvandlades det till ett museum. Utanför museet finns kanoner som användes för att bomba Sultanet vid Witu.

An incredibly insightful and interesting morning exploring Old Lamu with Kassim. We would never have found the markets, delicious coffee stop and craftsmen through the maze of alleyways we explored. We were intrigued by the history, culture and overall experience of the tour. A must when visiting Lamu. Thank you Kassim.

Kassim is a very personable young man, knowledgeable about the town and the Swahili culture. He also knows the best shopping places … for art, photography, clothes, coffee shops and restaurants. I booked him directly and later found out he is the guide recommended by my hotel Banana Hotel and Wellness Centre. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and recommend him highly.

Kassim has shown us the entire old town of Lamu. He explained the history of Lamu to us, and we got to know a multitude of authentic corners.
This was a very good tour through the Old Town of Lamu. Kassim is very knowledgable and interacts well with guests and with the locals. He will shpw you all ypu need to know in Lamu and give you pointers in all you need.

Kassim showed us around Lamu old town for one morning and provided a great experience from start to finish to get an authentic insight into the history and beauty of Lamu Island. His local knowledge made the experience memorable. In particular the attention and opportunity to explore the inner streets and stories that many visitors would otherwise miss. (The history of the different doors is amazing!) Highly recommend Kassim to anyone visiting Lamu and looking for a reliable and genuinely enriching tourguide and experience. Five stars!

Kassim was a great and knowledgable guide who looked after us way beyond the allotted two hours. No complaints but we did pick a day that experience the worst rain in memory

Kassim! What a guy! He took me through all the corners of Lamu and connected me with many artists in different studios within the island, and a wonderful Swahili lunch as an icing on the cake just by the beach. He’s your guy; super understanding and communicative.

I have never met a tour guide as passionate and knowledgeable about culture and history as Kassim. Our tour around Lamu Town was unforgettable. One of the highlights for me was seeing pomegranates and other fresh produce grown on the island, which made the experience feel even more authentic. He also takes amazing pictures and even helps you pose, my photos turned out beautiful. You can truly tell he is passionate about his work. When my phone battery was low, he called my driver and made sure I got back to Shela safely. I highly recommend Kassim, especially for female travelers.
