Denna vackra och natursköna 22 mil offentliga sjö som är känd för sina klara, konstant nivå vatten funktioner privat ägda vattnet och Cliffside hem, flera restauranger vid kusten, är hem för världsmästaren wake surfare Ashley Kidd och Raleigh Hager & bara 20 minuters bilresa från centrum Austin.
Denna stålbågsbrygga byggdes 1982 är ett ikoniskt Austin landmärke. Spanning avståndet till Lake Austin (1.150 ft lång), det förbinder norra och södra delar av huvudstaden i Texas Highway. Broens välvda design skapades för att undvika stödkolonner som annars skulle störa vattenskidåkare, vakna surfare och båtare på de 22 milen av vattnet nedanför.
Denna privata golfklubb ligger vid stranden av Lake Austin. Den har en utmanande 18-hålsbana och värdturneringar, inklusive den populära WGC Dell Match Play. Den var designad av arkitekten Pete Dye och är hemma för golflegenden Harvey Penick.
Denna vackra 5-hektar stora park ligger nästan 800 meter över Lake Austin. Klipporna i Mount Bonnell ger en vy för att visa inte bara sjön från toppen, utan de vidsträckta kullarna kring Austin.
Denna villa i italiensk stil vid sjön byggd 1916 var hem för Clara Driscoll, en filantrop som bidrog till bevarandet av Alamo. Idag är den 14 hektar stora platsen hem för The Contemporary Austin och består av en utomhusskulpturpark, konstmuseet Laguna Gloria och en konstskola.
Denna damm, uppkallad efter en tidigare borgmästare i Austin, började fungera 1940. Den konstruerades för översvämningskontroll och vattenkraftproduktion. På dess uppströms sida är Lake Austin och på dess nedströms sida Lady Bird Lake. Båda reservoar är ett resultat av dammens konstruktion.

What a great excursion. We had never been on the Lake before, and Marco our captain made us feel right at home. Very knowledgeable and conversational guy. By the end of the trip, I could say Marco is the best captain ever! Great guy, returned something to me even after I left the boat. Give this guy a raise!!
