Educational and fun and they take excellent pictures capturing the experience for you. By far one of our favorite activities that we’ve done in Japan that really captures the essence of the samurai era.

My husband and two sons (18 and 23) loved this Samurai experience. The staff kindly allowed me to watch and take videos, but be sure to arrange that in advance. Participants use a practice sword to cut water-soaked floral foam, so it’s probably better suited for older kids and teens. A fun and memorable activity!

Awesome experience! We got to hold a 600 year old Samurai sword, see an expert Samurai in action, have a guided meditation to prepare our minds then actually have a go at using a Samurai sword on a wet block. The experience was held in a historical Samurai’s house with a very interesting history. Highly recommend!!
