Highly recommend this food tour. Takuma was great. He was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He made navigating through Nishiki market less stressful. We tried various foods that we would not have thought to try. The food was delicious and was what the locals eat. Don’t hesitate… book it!
We had a fantastic experience on our Nishiki Market food tour with Takuma. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing Kyoto's incredible food culture. Takuma did much more than simply guide us through the market—he explained the history behind Nishiki Market, introduced us to local specialties, and helped us try foods we never would have known to order on our own. He answered all of our questions with patience and made the experience fun and engaging for our entire family, including our 6-year-old son. The variety of foods was excellent, and each stop gave us a better appreciation for Kyoto's culinary traditions.
