Detta är inte en checklista sightseeing ride. Det är en lokal Kyoto elcykel upplevelse genom Higashiyama tempel och dolda gränder, guidad av någon som rider dessa gator varje dag. Vi börjar med cykelmontering och en tydlig säkerhetsgenomgång, sedan rider vi från Imperial Palace-området längs Kamofloden och in i Higashiyama. På Nashinoki Shrine samlar du färskt källvatten som lokalbefolkningen gör – din återanvändbara flaska är en gåva och blir ditt dricksvatten för resan. På Shimogamo Shrine gör vi den berömda vattenomikuji (ingår) : doppa papperet i vatten och budskapet dyker upp, en smart tradition och ett roligt lyckotest. Vi besöker sedan det lugna Honenin-området, fortsätter till ikoniska Nanzenji och avslutar vid Heian Shrine. Vi undviker trafikerade huvudvägar när det är möjligt och anpassar rutten så att den matchar folkmassor och förhållanden, vilket håller turen smidig, säker och minnesvärd. Vi stannar vid Nashinoki Shrine, en plats lokalbefolkningen besöker för färskt källvatten. Du får en flaska, fyller den vid helgedomen och använder den som dricksvatten under hela ritten.
Vi rider längs Kamofloden, en plats där lokalbefolkningen kopplar av och tillbringar tid i det vardagliga Kyoto. Känn den fria luften och flodbrisen när vi undviker trafikerade huvudvägar och väljer lugnare stigar och bakgator.
Vi stannar till vid Shimogamo Shrine, en gammal helgedom som ligger i ett skogsområde norr om centrala Kyoto, känd för sin lugna atmosfär och djupa historiska närvaro. Här provar vi den berömda vattenförmögenheten – doppa pappret i vatten och budskapet dyker upp – en genial tradition som känns som ett roligt turtest.
Vi besöker Honenin Temple, en lugn plats i Higashiyama som känns långt från de livliga sightseeingvägarna. Vi närmar oss genom lokala gator och dolda gränder, och tar oss tid att njuta av stillheten och den enkla skönheten i tempelområdet.
Vi stannar till vid Nanzenji Temple, ett av Kyotos mest kända tempelområden, känt för sin stora port och rymliga trädgård. Vi tar oss tid att njuta av atmosfären och ta bilder, sedan fortsätter turen medan du justerar din rutt för att matcha dagens publiknivåer.
Vi avslutar vid Heian Shrine, ett slående landmärke med en bred inflygning och en imponerande vermilion port. Det är en bra plats för bilder och en tydlig "Kyoto ögonblick" att stänga åkturen innan du går tillbaka.

We had a fantastic morning thanks to Kei! We started with a briefing on the bikes and soon set off on our adventure. Although the e-bikes are quite fast, Kei guided us safely through Kyoto’s streets and intersections. This part of the tour didn't last long, as we quickly found ourselves cycling through a quiet, green area of Kyoto—it was wonderful to escape the bustle of the city for a while. The itinerary included a stop by the river, as well as visits to two shrines and two temples. Every place we visited was truly unique and beautiful and we also participated and learned a lot about rituals. We discovered wonderful spots that we never would have found on our own. Kei is a kind, respectful, and engaging guide who speaks excellent English. Communication with Kei before, during, and after the tour was also fantastic! Kei-san, arigato gozaimashita!
