Ksamil : Musselseglingstur med mat och dryck i Albanien

Musseltur är en unik lokal upplevelse där du kommer att träffa vår drottning, den berömda blåmusslan i Butrint-sjön. Resan börjar på en traditionell båt, först stanna vid musselodlingar. Processen för musselodling kommer att förklaras och vi kommer att ta några färska musslor direkt från gården, nästa stopp kommer att vara på restaurangen men innan vi är där kommer lite deltagande i separationsprocessen. Var och en av oss kommer att bära handskar och börja separera drottningarna. Arbete, segling och meditation i 15 minuter är valfritt för varje gäst. Efter det, segla till en annan del av nationalparken Butrint, en lokal och idyllisk restaurang, där kommer att laga två sorters musselrätter klädda i olivolja, citron och persilja tillsammans med lokalt vitt vin, färska grönsaker, hembakat bröd, och vatten för varje kommer att slutföra tabellen. Efter att ha njutit av smaken av vårt land och delat underbara berättelser avkopplande segling tillbaka genom att titta på solnedgången.

Butrints nationalpark. Vi börjar turen från ingången till den antika staden Butrint, vid viavarikanalen (kl. 11:00) på traditionella motorbåtar med kapacitet 8+ 2 (guide och kapten). Segla till musselbäddar, betongkonstruktion där vi odlar musslor, 10 minuters segling. Klockan 11:10 anländer vi till musselbäddarna, första stopp här, vi parkerar båten och stannar på båten genom att njuta av processen med musselodling förklarad av vår lokala guide. Stanna här i cirka 20 minuter. Under denna tid kommer vi att bära handskar och börja arbeta som musselodlingar gör, arbete och meditation kommer att vara.
Klockan 11:30 börjar vi segla igen, den här gången kommer vår riktning att vara till Kalivoi, "rikmans" hem i antikens Rom, en del av nationalparken Butrint, en trevlig lokal restaurang nära sjön ligger där. 15 minuters segling. Klockan 11:45 landar vi vid restaurangen och börjar förbereda musslorna som vi tagit på musselbäddar. Njuter av lunchen med tre sorters musselrätter, färska grönsaker, hembakat bröd tillsammans med lokalt vitt vin och vatten till varje. På restaurangen stannar vi en timme, ibland mer.
Kl 12:45 seglar vi tillbaka till Butrint entré. Denna period är perfekt för att koppla denna upplevelse genom att samtidigt besöka den antika staden Butrint

Terrible, they canceled on us twice and also just minutes before starting. We organized two days of vacation around this activity and they notify us at the last hour (literally, we returned from a beach 2 hours away for this activity and they notify us when we are at the apartment already prepared to go). They canceled the first time and ask us to reorganize it ourselves, when the activity stated it was completely full until Saturday. Even so, I book it again for Saturday. I am the one who asks if it is going to take place in the morning since they do not tell me anything, and my surprise is that they tell me no again, but if I hadn't asked, they wouldn't even notify you. I find it incredible that you come on vacation for 5 days and organize your day around certain activities and these people cancel it on you at the last minute, as if you had time to spare. To this day, I still do not have the refund of the money for the payments I made (€214), neither of them. Honestly, I am not going to recommend it to anyone and, of course, a very bad experience with this tour operator; booking with them is a risk that you will end up with no plans at all. We are leaving tomorrow, so we are left with nothing to do. So, any Spaniard who comes should know what to expect.
This was a fantastic experience! Soraldo Nebo was our guide. He and Captain Dajko gave really great and interesting explanation on the whole process of mussel farming. The food was the highlight of the tour. Every dish was incredible, the salad was fresh and the wine was very tasty. I would highly recommend this tour especially at sunset. The area is gorgeous.
Due to the season, there were no mussels to pick, wash and eat so the experience was very limited…We had a small tour by boat and then ate on the beach and this ended up to be a very expensive dinner for what was offered. We also add that the tour started an hour later than planned, we were informed in advance but still was a bit inconvenient for our plans…and the boat almost left without us despite being there 30min earlier…so overall not a great afternoon. A bit disappointing given the high reviews we read.

Great experience! The food was absolutely delish! Enjoyed getting to visit the muscle farm and learn about the history behind it.
Really good trip. The boat ride around the lagoon was good in its own right, interesting the learn about the farming and cleaning the mussels the great hospitality for dinner.
It is not a sailing tour as described. If you go to a restaurant to eat mussels, it is cheaper. A little was said about mussels.
Hi dear, On the mussel tour we sail on traditional wooden boat, like on prescription. We haven't mentione "sailing boat" if I understood correctly from translation. Normaly when our guests feel that is shared not enough information they do ask and interact. Do not let thinks get lost. The last is about the mussel dishes, you cannot find in all the region mussel dishes that we prepare at mussel tour, especially: grilled mussel on the wood and raw ones. The Mussel Tour was absolutely incredible. My trip to Albania has been amazing, and this has been the best excursion I've experienced here. The captain was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and personable, making the entire experience unforgettable. I can't wait to visit the restaurant and see the captain again next year. The young graduate student who translated for us was a lovely gentleman and did a fantastic job. Thank you, Captain, for the delicious food and the incredible experience. A nice ride in a bun, where one gets an explanation of the breeding Afterward, one goes to the nearby restaurant and can try three different, very delicious shellfish dishes
