Kona Walking Food Tour

There were 4 couples traveling together and we always like to try a food tour where ever we go. This tour was amazing with Kai and Ellie as our guides. We sampled local cuisine and learned a little bit about the area. The places we visited offered great service and wonderful food. We actually went back to the Kona Inn for sun set dinner and visited Kai eat n drinks for happy hour later during our time on the island. We loved the poke - some of us had never had it and were surprised at how great it tasted. The fish and chips were tried were wonderful as well. If you are looking for a fun afternoon activity exploring places to eat and getting a little local history at the same time - I would definitely recommend this tour

It was such fun! Ellie was a fantastic tour host. We went to 7 different places in Kona and sampled delicious local foods and drinks. Ellie made it fun. It was a good way to introduce us to Kailua Kona.

This was a phenomenal food tour. Probably one of the best ones I have been on. The guide was awesome. Kai took care of us from the get go. Tons of food and drink on this tour. It start with a good amount of History on Hawaii and right off the bat we are drinking and having chicken salad sliders. Then a chocolatier. The chocolate was outstanding - made with honey - amazing. Then Mai tais, and then Poke - wow was that good. We then got Avacado fries and a unique drink at Papa Kona’s. It was so good we went back and ate dinner there. A great place to eat and watch the sunset. Then on to Laverns for some of the best fish and chips I have had on not only the Island but everywhere else. They use a beer batter that is insane and homemade tarter so good I used it for the fries too. The fish was the ono fish and it was thick and delicious. Finally desert at the Gypsie Gelato. The ice cream there is truly good. This tour has it all and Kai made it special. You wont need to eat much after this. Plenty of food and drink. The value of the tour is worth it and i would do this again. Thanks Kai!!!

We love to do food tours on every vacation to learn about food culture and history. This tour was amazing! Kai was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about all things Hawaii and food. We had a great time and would highlight recommend this tour (especially with Kai) as a top activity to do on Kona!
