We had a wonderful time visiting Elephant Nature care, it was a great mix of cool different experiences. We started off making elephant food and seed balls (for helping grow more food) and then feeding the elephants in small groups. After that we went into the jungle/field and observed the elephants in the wild, this also included opportunities for people to take pictures in a natural setting with the elephants. We got about 30-45 minutes here and then went to an observation deck where we could watch an elephant bathe herself in the mud. We also got to use slingshots (away from the elephant) to shoot our seed balls into the field which was a lot of fun. After a short walk returning to the entrance, we had an opportunity to individually line up to wash the mud off of an elephant, and then watch the elephant clean off in a pool as well. There was a video viewing and a change to check out the gift shop before returning to the vehicles to our hotels. Overall this was a great experience that our whole group enjoyed. It felt very much like the animals are cared for and respected, there was a moment where an elephant wasn’t interested in taking pictures with anyone and they made sure to allow her space and there was no forcing the elephant to comply in anyway, we were just guided to a different elephant that was okay with people being around. The only thing I didn’t love was that we were there in a very large group (50-75 people or so), though it was nice that we were all split into smaller groups (8-10 people). I do wish there was an option to have a private or small group experience, especially when walking around the field with the elephants. I also wish we had more time to do this- as a photographer I did really want to a bit more time observing and photographing them. As a whole though, this was an awesome experience and we loved it all and would definitely return.

Incredible experience! Amazing journey through the elephant sanctuary! The work being done at this sanctuary is nothing short of Amazing! Angie and the other tour guides and elephant handlers were all awesome! Learned how to make food and experienced feeding an elephant for the first time. Didn't want the tour to end! Great experience! You get to learn about and see the elephants up close. For me, it was the right amount of time, around 3-4 hrs.

Excellent tour, the service and the tour itself was amazing. They really take care of the animals. Treat them with respect and also you can see them. Hopefully they can take care of them forever.

This is an experience that will stay with us for a while, it was fantastic to interact with the elephants in the natural habitat. Everyone in our group had a smile on their face the whole time. It was wonderful to know the elephants were not pushed to "perform", you took them as you found them, much like human interactions. If you want to see elephants, abhor the elephant rides etc, want a hands on experience, I highly recommend this tour.

The best elephant conservation home we’ve been to. The elephants are well taken care of and all the activities over the 3 hours were phenomenal, one of the most wholesome experiences we’ve been to.

My wife and I booked this as an activity on our honeymoon. We visited the sanctuary in May 2026. Pros: - The facilities are extremely nice. - The onsite staff is awesome and passionate. - The center is a humane elephant sanctuary. Cons: - No power when we visited. - The burning trash smell was dangerous to breathe. - The ride from where we were staying was uncomfortable. If you want to enjoy your outing, follow these tips: - Book your own private transfer. It’s worth the extra money as traffic is very heavy on Koh Samui, and riding in a shared van takes extra time and isn’t comfortable. - Inquire beforehand if the facility has power. - Inquire beforehand if trash will be burned next door during your visit. In full disclosure, we got a Grab to leave early because of the power and burning trash situation. We requested and did not receive a refund.
