We moved inside Kochi town via his TukTuk, he was reliable, always on time and drove carefully ( which is not typical!) Therefore we always called him on WhatsApp if we need a drop. We did not book any tour, simple pick and drop rides.

I had booked the 3 to 4 hour sightseeing tour with Shibab, but the tour we actually did ended up looking rather different from the one I had booked, in the best possible way. I had just arrived in Fort Kochi and, having already spent a few weeks in India, my priorities that day were a little different from the usual sightseeing programme. Shibab seemed to pick up on that almost immediately. There was no sense that we had an itinerary that needed to be completed. We saw some of the sights, but we also went to a supermarket because I needed to do some shopping, talked about everyday life, and changed plans along the way depending on what interested me. A big part of the experience unexpectedly became Malayalam. I have been learning a little for the past few weeks, and when Shibab realised how much I enjoyed trying to use it, he started speaking more Malayalam with me. His English is excellent, but rather than automatically switching back to English, he somehow managed to explain things in Malayalam in a way that I could follow. Once he noticed that I was actually keen to speak myself, he encouraged that too. In shops and museums, he would tell people that I was trying to learn Malayalam, which led to some lovely little conversations I probably wouldn’t have had otherwise. At some point he also noticed that I was getting tired and quietly adjusted the tour to that. I didn’t have to ask to slow down or explain anything. He had simply noticed. This is probably what impressed me most about Shibab. He has an exceptional ability to read the person he is with. He listens, observes, and seems to understand very quickly what someone is genuinely interested in. The supermarket, the Malayalam, the conversations with people, changing the pace when I was tired, none of this felt like a special request or an inconvenience. The tour simply evolved as he got a sense of what I was interested in and what suited me that day. Shibab can of course show you the sights of Fort Kochi and explain them extremely well, but what I found even more valuable was his ability to show me something of everyday life and the people here. He is knowledgeable, warm, patient, genuinely curious about his guests, and remarkably good at making a tour feel completely individual without making a big thing of it. By the end, it hardly felt like the standard 3 to 4 hour tour I had originally booked. It felt like spending a few hours discovering Fort Kochi with someone who was genuinely paying attention to what I was curious about. Shibab is an outstanding guide, and I feel very lucky that I happened to book my first tour of Fort Kochi with him. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Experience with Shihab If you are planning to visit Kochi, we strongly recommend spending a few hours exploring the city with Shihab from Legendary Kochi Tuk Tuk Tour. This was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences of our Kerala trip. From the moment we met Shihab, we knew we were in good hands. He was incredibly friendly, respectful, helpful, and easy to talk to. He welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel like we were travelling with a local friend rather than simply taking a sightseeing tour. The tuk-tuk was the perfect way to explore Fort Kochi. We travelled through the small streets, colourful neighbourhoods, historic areas, local markets, and beautiful parts of the city. Shihab showed us places that felt authentic and local, not just the typical tourist spots. What really made the tour special was the knowledge Shihab shared with us. He told us fascinating stories about Kochi’s history, different cultures, local traditions, and the people who have made this city what it is today. His explanations were easy to understand and made every place we visited more interesting. We also really enjoyed the local shopping experience. Shihab took us to places where we could look at spices, fabrics, souvenirs, and other local products. He was very helpful and never pressured us to buy anything. He simply gave us honest advice and allowed us to enjoy the experience at our own pace. Another thing we loved was how flexible Shihab was. We could tell him what interested us, and he adjusted the tour accordingly. He was always patient and made sure that everyone in our group was comfortable and enjoying the day. There were many little moments during the tour that made us smile — riding through the busy streets in the tuk-tuk, seeing local life up close, discovering hidden corners, stopping for photographs, and listening to Shihab’s stories. These are the memories that we will remember much more than simply visiting another tourist attraction. Shihab is not only a tuk-tuk driver; he is a wonderful local guide and a fantastic ambassador for Kochi. His passion for his city is obvious, and his warm personality makes the whole experience feel special. If you want a tour that is friendly, authentic, informative, flexible, and genuinely enjoyable, we highly recommend Legendary Kochi Tuk Tuk Tour with Shihab. Thank you so much, Shihab, for showing us the real Kochi and making our visit so memorable. We left Kochi with wonderful memories and a great appreciation for the city and its people.
Thank you for choosing Legendary Kochi Tuk Tuk Tour! Our goal is to help travellers experience the real Kochi beyond the usual tourist spots. I’m so happy you enjoyed the experience. Your kind words help our small local business grow. Thank you for your support! 🙏❤️
